I get the point but there’s a lot about it that can be argued about, I mean debated.
This sounds smug and elitist.
I don’t think Donald trump is an idiot, not entirely anyway, but he sure says and tweets some idiotic things.
There are a lot of idiotic arguments, but arguing isn’t the sole domain of idiots. And I’m sure some idiots are capable of some debate.
And ‘intellectual’ and ‘idiot’ are not mutually exclusive.
I get the feeling this is an idiotic intellectual discussion.

/ December 1, 2017His latest tweet was dumb and i am a Trump fan, I think Theressa Mays reaction is political diversion and even dumber.
PartisanZ
/ December 1, 2017Intellectuals debate whether idiots argue ……………..
…………………. and vice-versa
and idiot intellectuals argue while intellectual idiots debate …..
IDIOT!!!! *sarc*
For idiots, vice-versa means “conversely, inversely or contrawise” …
Oh FFS …. THE OTHER WAY ‘ROUND!
PDB
/ December 1, 2017Other idiots argue with themselves thinking that is intellectual.

Conspiratoor
/ December 1, 2017Have you perchance ever played chess with a pigeon parti?
PartisanZ
/ December 1, 2017You disappoint me C. I anticipated the obvious deduction any creature beyond the Primate family would make was that I only play chess with myself.
PDB
/ December 1, 2017Goes without saying that you probably play with yourself PZ.
PartisanZ
/ December 1, 2017ORHHHH … that’s funny PDB … HA … HA … HA …
Conspiratoor
/ December 1, 2017Compared to your advanced state of being i’m just a knuckle dragging ground pounder parti …humour me
PartisanZ
/ December 1, 2017Why thank you C.
What will be accomplished by humouring you?
Alan Wilkinson
/ December 1, 2017A good debate is entertaining and informative. An argument between idiots is neither. We get both here.
Gezza
/ December 1, 2017Well, to be fair Al, SOME of the arguments between idiots are at least entertaining.
PartisanZ
/ December 1, 2017All people, idiot and intellectual, are created equal …

/ December 1, 2017Maybe, but I’d far rather have an intellectual than an idiot flying my aircraft.

The need to be part of the team, to join the herd, be accepted in the pack, go along with the mob, is so strong, isn’t it?
Could we have learned any of this by being forced to attend the Capitalist Factory School with its Totalitarian classroom and Barbaric playground …?
Conspiratoor
/ December 1, 2017Parti my dear old thing now you’re just taking the puss. Capitalism american style has blessed us with some of history’s greatest thinkers and disrupters. Compare and contrast the mindless collective under socialist paradises …im sure you can lust them all
Kitty Catkin
/ December 1, 2017Taking the what did you say ?
PartisanZ
/ December 1, 2017I’m certainly not “taking the puss” … or taking the piss …
Freedom of thought often blossoms under essentially repressive regimes. Pressure to conform is one form of oppression, as I’m sure Alan agrees?
None of them were ‘mindless’, much less socialist. They were Totalitarian first, ‘Communist’ or ‘Nationalist’ second … They made up alt-names for despotism and tyranny …
Spun their CVs … so to speak …
Gezza
/ December 1, 2017I don’t mind them soaring like an eagle, but I do mind whether they’re soaring straight & level, & the right way up, when they’re supposed to, and that they don’t land it like a streamlined brick somewhere unsuitable well before, or after, they were supposed to get us all safely to a scheduled airport. Gotta go. Later. 👋🏼
PartisanZ
/ December 1, 2017Honestly Gezza, its an analogy worthy only of PDB …
The idiot never would have got a pilot’s license FFS.
“All men are created equal” but they develop differently
Blake’s “No Bird” is the acclamation of the free thinker.
Gezza
/ December 2, 2017The idiot never would have got a pilot’s license FFS.
I’ve come across one or two intellectuals who probably wouldn’t either, tbh. Brilliant philosophers earnestly discussing matters of intellectual abstraction, for example, really aren’t what your average pilot or co-pilot needs coming in for a landing at speed at an airport.
