Ghahraman is completely unrepentant about having done nothing wrong – no shit, Sherlock? There is actually a pretty big difference: DPF spent days posting shit about someone who did nothing wrong, and today he’s defending someone who’s lucky the accused has the right to silence.

Over on kiwi blog you go with the flow, and agree with anything David Farrar posts or you disappear, a bit like COMMUNISM

    • That’s not my experience there at all, Farrar lets more go than just about blogger.

Farrar doesn’t look at his blog anymore, there are strange people over there, self-moderation means you can say the nastiest crap post about someone and you are upticked and if you post a “wait a minute type post” you are down ticked and some of the gross antifemale posts should be run past Davids wife. She would ban some of the Mason clinic posters forever being a female.I don’t think shes a(spanish bride)

“Farrar lets more go than just about blogger.”

I agree kiwiblog has the most laissez faire climate for political expression.

There is a lot of personal abuse, but that interestingly doesn’t stop lively debate. In fact characters like Hugh Pavelich who everytime faces a taunting, jeering mob ready to down vote him to hell, seem to relish it.

An example why national are on the wrong side of the house…
    Jack5

Hamish Walker, the new Southland-Clutha National MP, with an NZ First list MP, Mark Patterson, has been out campaigning to keep in Queenstown the family of a Sri Lankan taxi driver that Immigration NZ wanted out of the country.

I doubt Todd Barclay would have been sucked into that.

The media virtually drove Barclay, not only out of Parliament, but out of the country, just as they destroyed the career of National list MP Aaron Gilmore over one boozy dinner incident.

In life you meet many types of nasty people. Some are nasty and dangerous. Unfortunately too many people associate such dangerous people with tattoos, gang connections and low life living. Not true in many instances. Here’s a real dangerous person. I first thought he was mentally ill, but I’ve found nothing to support that.

No, it’s creepy clicking on your moniker & finding it brings up my avatar. Why does it do that? That – & your constant baiting & puerile “hating on” posters you don’t like – that’s what’s creepy. Surely you can see this? Even thru your laffable complete hypocrisy & lack of humour?

Enough, said, Blazer. That’s how many entrepreneurs start off. They don’t start at the welfare office asking taxpayers to pay their phone bill.

        And Pati also states:

”These people surely qualify for Pete George’s recently defined ‘Lack of Self-Awareness’ award. ”

Yep, the majority of beanies qualify for that award.

Went passed the local Winz office today. Outside, across the road, bros were sitting under the trees ,rolling their own, and looking at their cell phones. Good luck with that, Jonesey..

I think you should be addressing me about the Newman’s “excruciating hypocrisy” Corky? I wrote it.

So entrepreneurs start off by misrepresenting themselves to the public or perhaps it only constitutes “fudging their CVs”? Start out as you mean to continue … unethically … or using questionable ethics?

          Can politicians do this too?

Dude, are you serious? You are, aren’t you? That’s scary. That’s why I posted the clip above. It pays to be safe.

            Wiki: Definition ( part of)

”Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching, and running a new business which is often initially a small business. The people who create these businesses are called entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship has been described as the “capacity and willingness to develop, organise and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit.”

By ‘clip’ do you mean Muriel’s bene bashing diatribe?

Women and children were so much better off back-then trapped in dysfunctional relationships with AD* men inside a residually misogynist society … one legacy of Church doctrines inimical to life …

I understand about entrepreneurship. ” … organise and manage a business venture along with any of its risks in order to make a profit.”

One of those ‘business risks’ is being discovered to be excruciating hypocrites. She and Frank should stick to bashing with both hands, not bash with one and offer supercilious, condescending assistance with the other … but, of course, anything is justified to “make a profit” …

Well, if you’re talking about my parents’ generation, the thing is, most of them – probably the vast majority of them, weren’t trapped in dysfunctional relationships with AD men inside a residually misogynist society. And looking at what I read & hear these I truly wonder if in fact there might actually be more of them who are now than there were back then.

            • Gezza

               /  December 4, 2017

              * last sentence, “these days” that should say.

The fact that roles of male breadwinner & female child raiser were commonly accepted didn’t prevent married couples from working happily together as a team, while the chlidren were young, raising a generation of well-mannered & responsible children. Nor did it stop women who wanted a career or to return to the workforce from doing so, either after the kids were old enuf, or before they were old enuf.

That role division didn’t suit or fit every couple.

The dysfunction I see around me today seems far more widespread & prevalent than back then, tbh. Notwithstanding that it is now theoretically easier for someone in a genuinely abusive relationship to walk out on their abusive partner, the same constraints, eg protecting the children, having to worry about taking care of themselves, what people will think, getting another job, home, state assistance from a pretty hard-hearted & judgemental welfare system etc – these all still operate to make it nearly, or maybe even just, as difficult a decision as before.

In marketing terms, ZB are after the younger, female/feminist and liberal male demographic … the ones who can’t be bothered with talkback and never will …

This is very similar to the predicament NZFirst find themselves in, having left the pumps on in the bilge and pumped out most of the ship’s rats along with all the crap & *false promises* …

          • PartisanZ

             /  December 4, 2017

Word chicanery Corky … “not inferior” … feint, artifice and sophistry … like the Think Tanks use …

I said Maori culture was “different” to European culture, that is all. And I gave you plenty of reasons for some erudite comparison: Reasons easily as sound as your reasons for claimed superiority …

Sticking a flagpole in the beach on someone else’s islands, shooting a couple of their people – whom you label ‘savages’ – and then trading trinkets, baubles, lethal weapons, tobacco and alcohol poisons for women, land, smoked heads and worse … might give Pakeha the right to claim something but it sure as f*%k ain’t superiority!

            • Corky

               /  December 4, 2017

”I said Maori culture was “different”

And I told you Maori culture was inferior to European culture, and could be proved objectively. I gave examples then asked you to prove otherwise. Being ‘different ”is just a cop out for you because you knew Maori culture couldn’t withstand an objective comparison with European culture. How disingenuous of you

The last paragraph is just strawman crap..

            • PartisanZ

               /  December 4, 2017

There’s one BIG weakness in your position Corky, an objective comparison between the two cultures isn’t possible because –

              1) The terms of reference for comparison are impossibly complicated, difficult to enumerate and calibrate, and they haven’t been agreed to.

              2) Objectivity itself is impossible, since it can only be attempted by subjective beings.

            • Corky

               /  December 4, 2017

Ah, the trap of subjectivity. Lets take guns, Something that Maori didn’t have. To create such a thing requires:

              1- Thought.
              2- Science.
              3- Production.

From the production of guns we may ascertain the level of intellect creating said product. The best weapons Maori had were taiaha and mere’s. Again the intellect that produced such weapons can be judged.

If it was one product, the claim could be made that European got lucky.
But that’s not the case. European created many things that stone age Maori could only marvel at.

It’s true that somethings can’t be compared between two cultures because certain contexts are alien to each other. That’s a subjective thing, I agreed

So, what does that leave? An objective comparison. That I have done.

            • PartisanZ

               /  December 4, 2017

Garbage! Who says intellect alone is a measure of superiority? Who says the Europeans can even measure ‘intellect’?

Measure intellect in terms of guns! Guns in relation to Maori! You gotta be f^*ken kidding me. Measure ‘progress’ in terms of warfare? If so, the lower the casualty rate the better, surely? So Maori win …

Symbiosis with nature may be a better measure? All sorts of things may be better measures …. The space between the planets rather than the planets themselves …

            • Corky

               /  December 5, 2017

”Measure intellect in terms of guns! Guns in relation to Maori! You gotta be f^*ken kidding me.”

I thought you could understand the gun example. It was simple..and any reasonable person would concur.

Why would I be kidding? Any reasonable person can see it’s not about guns per se, but the intelligence that went into making said gun.

I made that quite clear above.

Symbiosis? No, just a simple comparison. Maybe if I was coming around to your place in half an hour to kill you, that would clear your sinuses and mind. And then you could choose between a gun or a tiaha. Why do I believe you would choose the gun?

The world is being remade before your very eyes … the succession plan is underway … not just for ZB radio and NZFirst … for democracy, and economy, and nationhood, and internationalism … remade, re-created, reawakened and regenerated … this was inevitable with the exponential growth in IT … and all you Righties are going to do is resist it.

A certain grudging *respect* there Pants … I wish I’d resisted Rogerednomics and Ruthanasia as hard or harder.

Darn! I’ll have to save my short post for another time … Cheers!

Well, it didn’t take me long to establish & point out to you that evidentially already exists as a word defined in dictionaries that has the meaning you intended for your suggested new Partiword “evidencially”. But then you got well bogged down with trying to prove it wasn’t, and a completely irrelevant blither about whether I had betted on that, and then another on the meaning of bet, so forgive me if I suggest you might have a large blind spot when it comes to comparison, diversion, & relevance.

I did wonder why, after every Gezza-on-Blazer stoush, both carried the exact same wounds (metaphorically speaking) – creepy!

I think the slaters are winding you and us up PG, it’s a wee bit pathetic like a dog that’s chased sheep waiting for the bullet…

TBH PG was a little precious about the Photoshops. They are so over the top as to be ridiculous and yet they get across the WO view that she is a crim-hugger.
Pure satire. Enjoy it or don’t, there is nothing dirty about it – I’ve seen worse in the NZ Herald.

      • I know that’s how some see it but I still disagree.

Once could be put down to satire, twice maybe, but three and now four times looks like a dirty campaign to discredit to me.

If I saw NZH or any MSM doing anything like that I’d post on it too. I’d post on a single cartoon if i thought it was over the top.

Going Godwin today is just pathetic. Could be them doing it to just to show they won’t take notice of criticism – but SB has certainly noticed it. She can post what she likes, it’s her risk.

One man’s dirty campaign is another’s faded blogger tilting at windmills and trying fruitlessly to set an agenda.
WO is a pale shadow of what it used to be and personally I think you have read a bit much into it – although I do get your point.
He’s a bit “dog with a bone” on the whole saga, especially now it has well and truly died away.
I doubt the protagonist could care less.

    Andrew Little dodging responsibility if anything goes wrong with Pike River Mine re-entry, Winston not volunteering either so govt will put all the health and safety legal liability onto some unfortunate public servant;

NOT FAIR FOR CHIEF EXECUTIVE TO BEAR THE BURDEN – NATIONAL
National workplace relations spokesperson Amy Adams said placing the health and safety legal liability on the agency’s chief executive was “patently wrong”.

“While there’s been lots of talk about how Mr Little will be responsible for his decisions, it will be some poor senior public servant who carries the can.”

Adams said it was wrong to put a chief executive in a position where the minister had the final say, but the responsibility rested with someone else.

“Why would any sensible person put their hand up for that job?”

Te media, those impartial, intelligent, balanced and investigative journalists of our cherished Fourth Estate, are running with ‘Work-for-Dole’ as their name for Jonesey’s ‘Ready for Work’ scheme … http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=11953019

It’s a new media strategy, their brightest yet.

With even the most extreme forms of sensationalism no longer drawing punters … just do something that IRRITATES THE F*^K OUT OF PEOPLE SO MUCH they buy your paper or browse your website in a kind of seething, bewildered double-take … Like, FFS, is this for real?
