  1. Put this in yesterday’s by mistake. I moved it as I really wanted to set a tone for today before someone came along with steel-capped boots, a pair of hessian sandals or a Rasta crochet hat on 😀

I went up to the Brick Bay restaurant and sculpture walk the other day. Enjoyed a lovely, fresh 2017 rosé with lunch and then meandered around the grounds. The sculpture was varied, some to my taste, some not, but they had a couple of audio installations. One was Gregorian chanting. I shazaamed it, but no luck. Anyway it reminded me that liturgical music has it’s place outside churches. Native bush and 28deg was definitely one of them

    Always loved this

One of the priests at the wedding was a Transylvanian spy as well as a priest. One man who wanted to be ordained but couldn’t find anyone daft enough to do it turned up just after the ceremony began, walked around the church wearing clerical robes and carrying a huge service book and buggered off just before the end. People thought that he was part of it and he was in one of the photos which would have pleased him.

It was a lovely service, though. The rings are exchanged three times and always end up being mixed up and having to be swapped at the end because the bride and groom are wearing the wrong one.

I know of someone called Gunn who named her luckless child Tommy because she thought it would be funny to have him referred to as Tommy Gunn. He isn’t Thomas, he was registered as Tommy. I wonder how amusing the young Tommy Gunn finds it.Not very by now, I imagine.

I’m on holiday trav. Only got internet access via data link. Pages with video clips chew it up something awful, so i’m avoiding videos & General Chat.

General Chat is my French-Canadian uncle.

There are a surprising number of dux in my street, Gezza, strolling around and sauntering down people’s drives as if they owned the place. I can’t believe how fast they grow; ducklings one day, young dux the next.
