Most retweeted tweets of 2017

2017 isn’t over yet but the most retweeted tweets of the year are already announced. Some of them are a result of campaigns to get retweets, two for a good cause, #1 inane.

Interestingly Donald Trump isn’t included, but Barack Obama features thrice (#8, #5 and #2).

”Thank you for everything. My last ask is the same as my first. I’m asking you to believe—not in my ability to create change, but in yours.”

Yep, I guess Obama was elected as president…to believe.

Obama: ” No one is born hating another person because of the colour of his skin or his background or his religion…”

No, but some people are born inherently ”evil.” And life experience is one major driver making people hate others because of race or religion.

I find it fascinating many people talk of the inherent good in humanity, but few will acknowledge the inherent evil in humanity. There is always an excuse given as to why people do evil things. Yet when people do good things the refrain is ” I just did it. It seemed like the right thing to do.”

Inherent evil is usually the reason people hate someone else because of their race.

I’ll add, if not inherently evil themselves, then by being taught when young or relentlessly propagandised by someone else who is evil that everybody of another race is evil.

Barack Obama wasn’t born in Ulster. There’s a saying there about drinking it in with your mother’s milk.

What nonsense. I take it that you mean Lucretia Borgia, who was married three times-hardly promiscuous by any standard.

Evil and promiscuity (in the modern sense of sexual promiscuity) are not synonymous. As far as I know, Stalin, Hitler and Ceacescu (can’t spell it) were not sex maniacs, but they were all evil.
