Looking at the opposition. Bill English sure lifted his game at the last election. He would appear to have the L.O.T.O job as long as he wants. A lack of appealing contenders is the big problem for National. Bennett or Joyce. .can’t see it.Who can they find to ‘package ‘with the winning formula to go into 2020?English can look forward to the obligatory knighthood. ..regardless.

A knighthood richly deserved, Blazer. Just like Sir Michael Cullen.

No one deserves a knighthood. .Corky. A positive contribution to society is it’s own. .reward.

Quite true..but there’s nothing wrong with a little gravy on your mashed spuds for those who have done a ”little extra” for their community. Bill didn’t leave the poor to flounder during our economic hard times. Remember, an old time National Party wouldn’t have done zilch for the poor.

I think he’s referring to our PM Jacinda Adern possibly or his blog host David Farrar or his shrink who knows.

Who really gives a toss about Knighthoods since they were reintroduced?
Me I go straight down to the lower honours where the real grafters are.

I do. I would like one. As for New Zealand’s top honour, I would throw that in the bin. It’s worthless. I note one recipient said she liked that the New Zealand honour had no title to go with it. Speak for yourself, lady. The best day of my life would be when the GG say’s
” arise Sir Corky Wright” The first thing I would want to know is what perks and special privileges I could expect. I have no interest in what socialist sycophants think of me or my title…let them eat KFC.

Am I allowed to travel through Whangamata with alcohol in my car? If I have a toilet stop will I be fined $250?

What would happen if the questions from the Police elicited the Barclay answer?

They have heard it all before. You will be placed in the ‘smart prick with attitude’ camp and put in a container to cool off. Some people never learn

Gee when are youfh going to wake up.
Before you take off check the by laws.
If they say no alchol can be brought into the area bypass for somewhere else.

If there was no warning about the liquor ban, these people would have a point, but I hope that there was.

I remember when a liquor law was passed that had a sloppily worded sentence that somehow went unnoticed and made it an offense to carry liquor from the supermarket to the car. Needless to say that nobody was charged and it was hastily changed.

Just another case of Lefty louts (remember the youth vote?) as the excuse for penalising everyone, duperez.

There are quite a few drunken louts who get up to drunken stupidity. There are that many that if it’s only Lefties who are in that lot it’s lucky they don’t all vote. (The youth vote.) If they did the Left would win an election comfortably. I realise Russell is a bit too upmarket for them so things will be quiet up there though. 😊

Seek out a mate who has a relative in the area and claim to be taking it there for consumption.
