Splendid Trav. That one is going in my favourites 🙂

  2. Anyone else a Jamie Liddell fan? White boy sings black ( Brit)

    white boys..sing..black..

    • A bit before this was that awesome falsetto in Bread and Butter. Definitely a black vibe going on down here

  4. This is an amazing capture of days gone by. As a woman if you didn’t get whistled at on a daily basis it’d be unusual throughout the 70s. Anyone remember these days? You’d be hung, drawn and quartered for singing half the lyrics.

This was written way back in the dim, dark 60s – The Okaysions

the guy lying under the car..Bol…those were the days when girls got..’felt up’…if they looked like they’d been hit by the bus….no danger.

Those girls seem quite happy to be watched. They know that they are being filmed-and the lyrics are appreciative rather than salacious. I can’t see that there’s anything much to object to here.

It all seems quite innocent, especially in comparison to some of the stuff that’s around now. None of the girls open their legs and none of the lyrics are saying what the singer wants to do to them.

Exactly Kitty, who can blame a man for admiring the female form? A clever man knows that wolf whistles & ‘cat calls’ will bring him no luck whatsoever. A smile & a wink, however… 😉

              No, it’s spelt w-i-n-k.

Wolf whistles are all right if they are done as a bit of fun, which they usually are. Crude remarks are never all right, of course.

Pfft! Wolf whistles are a cowardly way of showing admiration.

Yup Blazer, you might just get to see a ‘tit’, if you learn how to…ask…nicely 😉

One of the better pics, from New Years Day. The ‘Windows walk’, at Waikino.

We had to walk over this suspension bridge to get there. I was holding my youngest’s hand, because I thought he might get scared. When we got to the middle, he grabbed both ropes, & started laughing, whilst swinging from side to side! Bloody kids! 😀

When he had stopped swinging the bridge from side to side, I took this picture looking down from the middle.

He didn’t understand why Dad was yelling at him to stop, but the people waiting at both ends did! Bloody kids… 😀

Funny sight of the day-a blackbird having a brisk cool bath in the bird bath. Jumps in-splash, splash, splash, splash-jumps out and has a good shake-repeats. I don’t know how long the bath lasted, as it had begun before I saw it.

I wonder what the person who gave the old (antique) Meakin meat/serving dish to the opshop whence I rescued it from the free section would think of its new incarnation as an elegant birdbath. It’s the perfect size and depth !

Hey Patu, thanks so much for introducing me to “O’keefe Music Foundation”; some fantastic stuff. Their version of “Sober” gives me goosebumps. This one is kinda cool IMO:

“Medicate me so I die happy”. Hmmm seems to be a theme developing here. (see below)

I really enjoy this one Phantom, & I suspect you will too. I’ve been attempting to get Kitty to listen to it for quite a while too, since she considers herself an expert on greek mythology…

“Give me one more medicated peaceful moment” indeed! Yes, improves on the studio version.
