NZ views on Trump versus Bannon

David Farrar at Kiwiblog: Trump vs Bannon

So of Trump’s two campaign chairs, one is indicted for money laundering and the other he now labels as mad. What does that say about the judgement of the person who hired them?

David Garrett:

Trump is one seriously unhinged unit…If you allow yourself to think about it, it’s terrifying that this guy’s hand is on the nuclear button at the same time an equally unhinged unit in North Korea has his hand on another nuclear button.

Surely 2018 will be the year the world is closest to a nuclear conflict since the height of the cold war? Doesn’t bear thinking about…

MickySavage at The Standard: Duck and Cover

Makes you wonder if the nuclear button tweet was an attempt at diversion.

And Trump has lost his cool with Bannon.

Whale Oil may have a bit of a dilemma over the Trump-Bannon split. They were still championing Trump yesterday:

Bannon’s Breitbart may now be a front runner. WO have modeled themselves on Bannon/Breitbart,  and I suspect someone may have fancied themselves as a Bannon-like PM maker, but now Trump has dumped on Bannon (not posted about at WO) that may cause some flip flopping between champions, trying to ignore the bust up.

It’s interesting (from pol-sci and legal perspectives) that the White House has released an official statement declaring that bannon has “lost his mind” – an official WH statement, mind, not just a delusional tweet from 45 while watching Fox&Friends

Bannon was of ‘sound mind’ when he took the job? I mean you would hire someone who was mad?

So what was it that made him lose his mind? The company he kept?

Certainly reduced Sean Spicer to a gibbering wreck eventually, & poor Sarah Huckabee Sanders seems to be heading that way too. Tuff job, Chief Press Spokesperson for Trump.

The only one who doesn’t seem in any danger of being psychologically damaged is Kellyanne Conway, mainly, I suspect, because she doesn’t even bother to listen to her own blithering, so she feels no pain, unlike everyone listening to her.

Sean Spicer seems to have recovered-was it the Emmys where he made that joke about this being the largest Emmy crowd ever, in the words used about the inauguration crowd ? He was laughing and so was everyone else.

Poor Sarah HB seems to be a robot.

I like her pearls-I am a pearl girl, too.

What is interesting is the dysfunctional, disunited state of society. It just so happens that the media are controlled by the globalists (Internationalist left) and corporations. If you want to see mentally ill visit the humanity/social science departments of universities in the west.

A very poor attempt at tread jacking. Please try harder.

It’s a little hard to keep up; previously it was the evil communists who had taken over university faculties, now it’s the mentally ill. While I find your ongoing Alt-Right regurgitations a little irritating, I’m more concerned at you describing a group who you clearly strongly dislike and probably despise as “mentally ill.” Using “mentally ill” as a pejorative, an insult, is very revealing about your attitudes towards those diagnosed with mental illness. and what it reveals is something foetid and noxious.

What it reveals in this case is also jealousy, I think.

Nothing wrong with Trumpy. According to reports he spends his nights in bed, eating cheese burgers, and chatting with old friends. That’s because he’s mastered the art of delegation. He doesn’t sweat the small stuff. Other people are paid to do that. Least anyone thinks that’s unacceptable, it needs to be remembered many of our government ministers offices are run by bureaucrates who do all the work and tailor reports so the minister in charge has some semblance of understanding what his job entails.

  4. Yawn – another day, another Trump is the worst President of all time thread…. keeps people happy I suppose…

    That his campaign won?

Surely you would have to be bonkers to run a US Presidential campaign? Are you seriously suggesting the likes of the Clintons and Sanders are sane?

    • That’s the bit hurts the Democrats and their media boosters the most… and why they are going after him so hard. Trump should never have won that election – never. But he did and being a former Democrat supporter, its the worst possible outcome for Hillary boosters… a loss but a loss to a turncoat…

Damn amusing watching the Democrats and their around the world aligned support base lose their shit. I thought they would calm down after a year but here we are 14 plus months on and still they are frothing at the mouth… its gold plated fun to watch…

I’d say his judgement, at the time, was reasonably good – the better question might be “what does it say about his character?”

      • Alan Wilkinson

         /  January 5, 2018

        That he likes to win.

        • Gezza

           /  January 5, 2018

Exactly. By fair means or foul. He’s even on video telling Barbara Walters. Also that he treats people as disposable commodities.

            I win again.

Ok. Not by much though. And only because I’m letting you have this one out of pity.

               /  January 5, 2018

Only because you like to win by fair means or foul yourself.

Trump to reveal ‘Dishonest and Corrupt Media Awards’ next week

Well, I’m sure everyone would agree that Trump’s certainly had plenty enuf experience of doing these things himself to be fully qualified to judge, wouldn’t they? 👍🏼 😃

He must surely have realised that people would say this ! 😀 😀 😀

Well I’ll have to take my hat off to Trump he scored one big win today.

Dems on the commission tried to withhold documents from Rep colleagues on the same commission. They were sued and forced to hand over said documents. Now the Dems have come on board with the voter commission and admitted large scale fraud in the US election.

Trump might have won the majority of the vote.

Artcroft, did you even read the links you’ve provided? Nothing that you say in your comment is proven by the articles. There has been NO admission of voter fraud; the commission that was set up to investigate the purported problem has instead been closed down…

…and thank heavens for that! Seeking to undermine the credibility of an election result is a much more concerning than smack talking with the North Koreans.
