It’s not the same as seeing the real thing, though.Standing in the room that Shakespeare stayed in and used in Oxford, which still has the original painted walls (discovered behind something, I forget what) was 1,000,000 times better than any photo could be,

Oh, well done, Red !!! Tell daddy to rub your ears and give you a big kiss for Auntie Kitty !

Another rescued dog showing what rescued dogs can do. It was a surprise that the brilliant dog in The Artist was also a rescue dog, like the ones who flew planes in the UK (thanks to Mark Vette) What fun it would be to see two dogs in pilots hats walking up the plane aisle and into the cockpit.

One of the local ‘dog play pens’ as we called them has some old agilty things in it, which is great fun for the dogs to play on.

Mark Vette could teach Red to drive and share the driving with you.

I see Ardern has decided to dip her toe into a bit of work and starts with calling Trump a racists, this from the party that gave us the chinese sounding surname study and race baited throughout the campaign against foreigners which is labour code for anyone asian. Her immigration policy is further to the right than Trumps she just has a classier way of communicating and a sycophantic press.

Sighhhhh…..you mentioned him, not me. The names I mentioned were Sandra Lee (not Chinese) and Gipsy Rose Lee (also not Chinese)

No, Bruce Lee was not Romany-despite the European first name, he was Chinese. This time, a Lee actually was Chinese. 0/10.

Bruce Lee being Chinese doesn’t make all people with that name Chinese. Did you realise that China doesn’t use the same alphabet as we do, so that when you see the Chinese name Lee, it has been translated into an English form so that people in the West can read it ?

Li (Chinese: 李; pinyin: Lǐ) is the second most common surname in China, behind only Wang. … The name is pronounced as “Lei” in Cantonese, but is often spelled as Lee in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and many other overseas Chinese communities.

One. More. Time. The fact that it is a Chinese name does not mean that it is ONLY a Chinese name.

It is also a Romany name-google this, if you can’t take my word for it. Many Romanies are called Lee-as are many, many non-Chinese people like

              Brenda Lee

              Christopher Lee

              Laurie Lee

              Peggy Lee

              Robert E Lee

              Harper Lee

I assume that you have heard of some of these people. I doubt if they all changed their names to Chines ones for some reason.

Take the name Smith. The original Smith who gave any one family the name could have been a blacksmith, a whitesmith, a tinsmith, a goldsmith, a silversmith, a coppersmith or a fingersmith. But because one smith was a goldsmith, it doesn’t mean that there was no other kind of smith !!!

In fact Bruce Lee wasn’t a full blooded Chinese. He had English ancestry. The plot thickens.

I never ever said it is ONLY a Chinese name..you tried to be…clever…and you’re still…trying.More Lees in Asia than the rest of the world…period.

You did, ducky, You said that Ling, Ching and Lee sounded Chinese to you and made a sneering comment about them sounding French or Spanish, You would not accept that Lee was a Romany name. You banged on about how common Lee was as a name in China. You cited Bruce Lee….and so on. Too late to try to wriggle out of this one-it’s called painting yourself into a corner.

She didn’t use the actual word. I can’t remember what she did say-that it was unacceptable or words to that effect. I saw in MSN news when I was turning the computer off.
