One only has to look at the Netherlands and Belgium, two countries which initially introduced voluntary euthanasia on a restricted basis, who have in recent years further liberalised their laws to the extent where some people with non-terminal conditions can now choose this option.

“One” has looked into the Netherlands and Belgium, one finds that reality in the Netherlands and Belgium and the rubbish some spread do not coincide .
Slippery slope argument based on fear and misinformation.
My brothers father in law suffered a massive stroke at 55. left him with a vocabulary of two words “F^^king hell” and the necessity for him to have his adult daughter wipe his arse.
After four years he decided to stave himself to death. The result of the stroke in itself was not life threatening. The loss of the ability to have a life was unbearable.

“major flaws that need fixing” (even if they prove to be minor) are exactly why our Parliamentary process for formulating legislation has its only sane, reasonable, rational, emotellectual and truly democratic manifestation, select committee …

I have a pillow speaker. On RNZ last night they were talking about chooks and factory farming; that morphed into gender, the patriarchy and power.

He looks to the Bible, to evolution, to the behaviour of wild animals, to Freud and Jung and other great thinkers.

Millions now regard Professor Peterson himself as a great thinker and a protector of civilisation.

To his followers he is a hero for our times, standing up for sanity and free speech against the crazed hordes of Leftists striving to undermine everything that makes sense.

He abhors “identity politics” which he regards as a communist legacy and the road to destruction.

He says nobody has a right to demand “respect”, they have to earn it.

Equal rights legislation, about race, gender or anything else is not his cup of tea.
      //
Equality legislation – where will it end?

First of all it’s for women, then there will be laws in favour of black women, then short women, then left-handed women and so on.

      And not just women.

Peterson paints a nightmare scenario where, rather than society being one and people making their own way, there will be a trillion definitions of identity and each person will have his/her/ze/zer/their own rights (and maybe their own personal pronoun).

‘Society’ [as defined by whom?] pretending to be one, or worse, forcibly and/or manipulatively imposing its fake and fabricated ‘oneness’ upon the personal, gender, ethnic, sexual, religious, spiritual, practical and intellectual diversity of its own people is the true “nightmare scenario” we are just now waking up from … Thank God!

Actually, we can largely “Thank God” for the way its been for a couple of millenia due to the influence of Church doctrines inimical to life.

“Equality legislation … where will it end?”

Dunno. Let’s find out shall we …?

Misogynistic abuse against Cathy Newman is a symbol of the backlash against the MeToo movement
When white men feel they are losing power, any level of nastiness is possible – and much power has been ceded of late

To put into perspective violent threats made towards Newman and Petersen, a search was made on Twitter by ‘hequal’ using their names and words of violence like slap, rape, smack, kill, hit, die, murder & punch. The results were as follows –

Non sex violence against Newman – 2
Sexual violence against Newman – 0

Non sex violence against Petersen – 8
Sex violence against Petersen – 55

I’m sure everyone can see who got the brunt of internet violence and it wasn’t Newman, just more fake news from SJWs !

“When white men feel they are losing power, any level of nastiness is possible…”
      (a) Is that some kind of veiled threat?, and
      (b) Do you now represent these white men? (Alt-Right franchisee?)
      (c) What response (“nastiness”) would you like to see (locally, in NZ) from all these disempowered white men??

Here is the most extraordinary piece of ‘tripetalk sop’n’babble’ that ever tried to claim the name “journalism” …

‘Government outlines $13m first step of youth jobs machine but ‘work for the dole’ is out’ – NZHerald, touted in the online headlines as simply “Govt drops ‘work for the dole”’

This utter pap begins with an October 2017 video rant by Mike Hosking about ‘Work for the Dole’ being a “no brainer”.

‘Work for the Dole’ was gone from the table a couple of days after Mike’s appeal to all good Righties. That it couldn’t rather than wouldn’t happen was always the “no brainer”.

To pretend the government is only now ‘dropping it’ is blatant bias and sensationalism bordering on lies by the Herald … the very same rag you Righties constantly complain is owned and operated by a Left-Wing ‘Long March thru Institutions’ Conspiracy Cabal …
