Question: Are the kids better off without a teacher then with one given the unaware Marxist acolytes teacher colleges churn out?

That’s true. Lets face it- Marxism has destroyed our education system. I have explained how in previous posts. It starts with that Brazilian dude.

The easiest thing when there’s a shortage of teachers is simply to say it’s all to do with unions or pay or prestige of the job or this or that …

Like all jobs the number going teaching or wanting to be teachers is subject to many factors. Their relationship with each other and their real impact on the numbers will always be subject to discussion. Opinion usually seems based on some preconceived political viewpoint rather than knowledge of the myriad factors and a dispassionate disposition.

How many teachers salaries could be payed for by this piece of corporate welfare from Winston Peters?

This type of crap should be outlawed, along with help for farmers. You want to be in business, fine. But don’t expect taxpayers to pay for it. How come we never think this way about people on a regular benefit?

but you will be in favour of corporate welfare x20 to finance the idle rich in an Americas Cup contest…I presume.

And the ‘soft’ corporate welfare the trucking industry enjoys by not being charged the real cost of their chewing up the ‘public’ roads@ > 1000 times that of a car for each truck and trailer unit …

I can’t prove it but I speculate that a truly comprehensive analysis of all the various obvious and surreptitious corporate welfare we have today would more-or-less amount to the same as the old, much more blatant (and transparent) ‘tariffs & subsidies’ scheme … with all its benefits to workers, local economies, regions etc etc …

It’s the legitimized ‘scheming’ that should really bug people IMHO …

What about welfare beneficiaries? That’s different, no doubt.

Hell yes it’s different Corky! NZ’s unemployment rate at present is the recognised minimum required to maintain low-wages … Except for a relative handful of people, the unemployed are a component of the legitimized scheming …

A dual purpose component … they can also be blamed for their own predicament to assuage Rightie’s guilt …

              Well the scheming ain’t working.

So sad,Lorde will not be singing at the grammys, but maybe her good mate the anti semantic Roger Waters will give her a spot singing a duo under the famous flying pig with the star of david on it when he comes to New Zealand, racist anti semantics stick together.

NO NO Lorde missed out now if she had gone to Israel??? you watch its all down hill for her now, but wait the BDS will help out,NOT sucker

She has done well from the Grammys, so she should be careful not to seem to be whining about being left out this time.

That girl who was on could hardly have been wearing much less. Brooke Fraser looked gorgeous in her red dress.

She wasn’t left out. She refused to do a tribute act with other stars in honour of Tom Petty. I do not know her reasons, but if it’s because she thinks she’s too big to be involved in a ”second class” act, she should be careful. She’s a mediocre talent a best. Someone should remind her if that’s the case.

Well, if her star has set, these things happen, She has had a great time, made an enormous amount of money and is what ? 21 ?

Lorde is doing ok for someone with “mediocre” talent. I think she wanted a solo spot and was offered a duet. It may be a protest at the lack of female nominees.

Just how many ugly heads does this TPP monster have?

‘Mixed reaction to Donald Trump’s overture for US to return to TPP’ – NZ Herald

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=11983710

We’ll never know what minuscule difference TPP might make to GDP by 2025 because it won’t be concluded by then!

Meantime all the countries involved will have bilateral trade agreements with each other anyhow …

Has anyone else read Fire and Fury ? It’s very interesting indeed. If it was a novel, I’d be returning it virtually unread, thinking that it was too far-fetched to be credible. But the writer seems to have done his homework. Thank Heaven I don’t live in the US where a loony like that with no political experience can be elected president.

I hadn’t thought of the obvious flaw in the second part of the medical cannabis bill-Act, which supports the first part-is dubious about doctors having to make the decision. A patched gang member wants a rural GP to certify that he is ill enought to be let to grow marijuana…
