In a Federalist essay, “Trump Isn’t a Conservative–And That’s a Good Thing,” Frank Cannon comes close to the mark.

Trump, he writes, “would more accurately be described as a ‘radical anti-progressive'” who is “at war with the progressives who have co-opted American civil society.” Moreover, Trump “is willing to go further than any other previous conservative to defeat them.”

Fair enough Pete. Are you going to address Blazer on this? He/her/it/them have been personally attacking commentators on here for a very long time. Yet you jump to her/his/its/their defense when a little gets given back….

      • Got anything remotely like an SOH at all there Blazer? Anything of the most flimsy substance will suffice .

There’s been a fascinating display overnight in the American Congress of a bipartisan win and at the same time, Democrats ripping themselves apart about a bipartisan agreement. Pelosi and Schumer need to get their shit together if they’re serious about governing.

White House chief of staff John Kelly was told several weeks ago that the FBI would deny full security clearances to multiple White House aides who had been working in the West Wing on interim security clearances.

Those aides, according to a senior administration official, included former White House staff secretary Rob Porter, who left the White House on Thursday after reports that he physically and verbally abused his two ex-wives.

The White House chief-of-staff told confidants in recent weeks that he had decided to fire anyone who had been denied a clearance — but had yet to act on that plan before the Porter allegations were first reported this week.

So trump’s tolerance for wife-beaters has exposed:
    – Kelly’s overblown confidence
    – White House aides working there without security clearances (i.e. they’re counterintelligence threats)

    How long before
    – Kelly’s ousted
    – and we learn Jared was one of the others denied a full security clearance?

There must be things going on in the world other than Donald Trump …?

Yes, there is! (Although bugger-all of the reported ones are not US & Western)

“Oxfam estimates that it would take $60 billion annually to end extreme global poverty – that’s less than 1/4 the income of the top 100 richest billionaires.”

Sounds like a plan partisanz. I’m curious to know more. If the top 100 had a whip round and dropped a lazy 60b into your account how would you set about ending global poverty?

This week’s senior resignations from trump’s executive branch:

    – White House staff secretary Rob Porter
    – Associate Attorney General Rachel Brand
    – White House deputy chief of staff John Carroll
    – FBI public affairs assistant director Mike Kortan
    – DOJ’s counterintelligence and export control chief David Laufman

Brand has long been touted as a ‘Rising Star’ replacement for Rod Rosenstein in the event trump fires Rosenstein. Looks like that rug has just been pulled out from under trump’s feet…

      But Hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It must crush you knowing that the Russia investigation started because another trump campaign foreign policy advisor – George Papadopoulos – was told last April that Russia had “dirt” on Clinton in the form of thousands of emails….

… and that each time a FISA warrant is extended it’s because the previous 90 days of investigation have yielded NEW evidence that supports continuance oif the invetsigation…

Which is probably why you’re in denial.

Oh, and it’s only slander if it’s a false spoken statement damaging to a person’s reputation. First you have to prove it’s false… then prove that it’s damaging to trump’s reputation – good luck with that…

Meanwhile trump’s decided to keep the Schiff memo secret to hide the fact that the GOP document was partisan spin…. good luck with that too.
