The US Government and the JASON group are pushing ahead with Gene Drives technology.

    Gene Drives Definition.

Gene drives are a gene-editing application that allows genetic engineers to drive a single artificial trait through an entire population by ensuring that all of an organism’s offspring carry the trait.

You don’t have to be Einstein to realise having this technology will make you God.

For example we could Gene Drive trolls so they couldn’t breed. Their kind would eventually wizzen and die at their keyboards. Lol..not a huge change from their present status.

At times i worry about the standard of posters elsewhere…bitter person

Why are taxpayers paying for Gay Clarkford to swan around the islands with Crockery. He is not a spouse, he may be living with an illegitimate PM, he may be father of her illegitimate sprog, but that does not entitle him to leech like a pig off taxpayers.

A teacher makes, in my opinion, a protest against Muslim culture, and is sacked.

Interesting to note Auckland University is again involved. Seems to be a hot bed of ignorant prats.

The guy was deliberately being a dick to make a point.
Firing him seems like a massive over-reaction though.

Agree. He may (?) had gained more traction by taking a different tack. My guess is the University is protecting its foreign student quota.

One things for sure.. that ”when in Roman” crap doesn’t apply to Muslims; only to infidels
        in Muslim countries.

‘May had gained’ When in Roman what ? Senseless as usual. This whole post is senseless.

How people who have never been to any university like to make themselves look silly by dismissing these as Cork does ! Poor old Cork, tying himself up in knots trying to sound clever.

”May had gained’ When in Roman what? Senseless as usual. ”

OK, I get you are a literalist. So, ”When in Rome” may mean to you – buy some vino. Most others will know what it means, and if they don’t they wont waste their time dribbling on. They will just ignore my post.

May I suggest you not tie yourself in knots. It’s bad for your health and makes you look like a troll.

I’m downticking you for your incessant idiocy.

               /  March 9, 2018

You said when in Roman, which is nonsense. So is may had gained. You delude yourself that your points are so fascinating that people will try to decipher them, but they aren’t and they won’t.

The literalist remark is one of your limited repertoire, and its absurdity doesn’t stop you trotting it out with monononous regularity as if it was new and meant something.

A downtick from you is a compliment, M. Erde.

If it was a first time offence, I think he’s been hard done by. If he has done this type of offending before, fair enough, he deserves the boot.

      That’s the silliness of multiculturalism.
And the only serious discussion is in academic circles where people lack common sense

Guess he was making a protest about something. Maybe it was against Muslim culture itself.

If he set out to prove Auckland University has ignorant prats he succeeded. He’s done his bit in ensuring they now have one less.

Infometrics skewer Kiwibuild in a big way…

“KiwiBuild – Otherwise known as ‘pulling numbers out of your a*#e’

Since Labour came into power late last year, its KiwiBuild policy has been shrouded in confusion by contradictory statements from government departments and within the government itself about exactly what the policy means for the construction sector.”

To be fair they have announced a whole lot of housing that National had already organised – does that count towards their numbers?

      • High Flying Duck

         /  March 9, 2018

If you take out the National policies they have re-announced to date, all you’d be left with is a lot of committee & working group announcements.

The formula is so incredibly simple: Men were always the Patriarchy … and were NEVER ‘fine’ …

Society’s mask covering up this paradigm has been removed or partially so …

Perhaps it’s all part of Mother Nature’s way of limiting population growth?

      • Kitty Catkin

         /  March 9, 2018

Under the supoosed patriarchy, only men do the dangerous, heavy jobs, are forced to go to war and risk being killed, have to support and provide for children who are not theirs, used to be sent to prison for crimes done by their wives, were legally obliged in places to marry girls who were pregnant by them.

Men have far less money spent on men-only illnesses like prostate cancer which kills about the same number of men as breast cancer does women. They live shorter lives, and have a far higher rate of suicide.

‘Assault against a female’ as a crime still exists. It’s a carry-on of the old ‘you don’t hit a girl.’

There’s no crime ‘assault against a man’ which targets women.

The number of male survivors in all classes on the Titanic was a fraction of the female ones of all classes, and many of the men who did survive were vilified for this. The legend that First Class men were saved at the expense of Third Class women is just that – a legend. It was said that the Titanic put the women’s movement back 10 years. ‘Women and children first’ trumped gender equality.

Men do the dangerous jobs because they’ve created an econormity which requires skyscrapers and dangerous machinery and creates dangerous criminals … et al

Old men create the wars over *resources & markets* they send young men off to fight.

Men die younger and commit suicide more because of the stressful lives they’ve created for themselves … and imposed on everyone else …

Some of the social mores regarding male behaviour towards women run a lot deeper than they appear. I believe “women and children first” is one such. In our ‘Clan Brain’ (not to be confused with JP’s Crustacean Brain, which we don’t have) this ensures the survival of the reproductive females and the next generation …

I believe that all this is because men are expendable. If it had only been young women on the Titanic, you might have a point.

There was a famous, scathing poem about how ‘Votes for women was the cry’ until the Titanic sank and it was ‘Boats for women.’
