Thinking about te reo on RNZ: they are substituting Maori for English. How does this “reflect”.

    (g) reflect New Zealand’s cultural identity, including Māori language and culture
    …………
As Don Brash said only a tiny minority use those words and culture is what is not what (a few consider) should be.
The Truth is they are trying to change the spoken language of the nation by injecting Maori into public broadcasting. “They” are in a position of power but “they” have no authority.
    ………….
Having said that if you read Reddit there is a massive demand for/astroturfing te Reo.

  2. Should fruit and veges be GST exempt? Should all NZ drinking water have fluoride added? Should prisoners have the right to vote? National MP Nikki Kaye and Labour’s Michael Wood discus in 1 News ‘Political Showdown’.

I just watched a brief item on ‘The Hui’ TV3, about a ‘Green Fairy’ who is growing & supplying cannabis & extracts (tea, balm etc.) to sick people. She knows that it is illegal BUT the current NZ law is actually more harmful (denying wider access) to people who can benefit from the medicinal/Therapeutic use of Cannabis.

They also mentioned the Govt. Bill & interviewed a NZF MP (who voted again the Greens bill) who said ‘it needs to be very strictly control’ & then said ‘opening the door will cause more harm’ (B-S sez I). The current regime is actually more harmful than any regulated legal system, as is happening NOW in many OECD countries.. NZ is sadly lagging years behind them, due mostly to this type of rampant FEAR-Mongering, that is still widespread 😦

Sometimes I miss my old friend “KG”. Here’s his latest mini rant over at CrusaderRabbit:

I don’t give a damn if Trump appeared in a Hindi porn flick with Stormy, two donkeys and the Vestal Virgins.
Because this is war and we shouldn’t allow ourselves to be distracted by the “but we have to show we’re better than them” bullshit.
We’re better anyway. Better than the mindless Marxist scum rabble and better than their enablers and financiers.

      I enjoyed a reply…

“I don’t give a damn if Trump appeared in a Hindi porn flick with Stormy, two donkeys and the Vestal Virgins
Is that available on DVD? I’m having a lot of trouble finding a gift for Mothers Day.”

Yes, some of the Far Right have great senses of humour, but sadly not the one with the injured digit below.

A friend of mine was chatting to a specialist doctor recently. The specialist told him he liked Trump.

As you’re replying to me, you seem to be claiming that I’m “White.” Do you have psychic abilities??

Trump was a damned fool to (a) have an affair with Stormy Daniels (b) pay her off. He was known to be a serial adulterer, nothing new there. But the paying off was a stupid, stupid thing to do. Especially if it was campaign fund money !

    Ecological Wisdom:

The basis of ecological wisdom is that human beings are part of the natural world. This world is finite, therefore unlimited material growth is impossible. Ecological sustainability is paramount.

    Social Responsibility:

Unlimited material growth is impossible. Therefore the key to social responsibility is the just distribution of social and natural resources, both locally and globally.

    Appropriate Decision-making:

For the implementation of ecological wisdom and social responsibility, decisions will be made directly at the appropriate level by those affected.

    Non-Violence:

Non-violent conflict resolution is the process by which ecological wisdom, social responsibility and appropriate decision making will be implemented. This principle applies at all levels.

Marama does not believe that ecological wisdom is #1 despite it being listed as paramount.
    “Anti racism” trumps ecology

This world is not finite as it is part of an infinite universe. That’s the first fallacy. The second is that material growth is not dependent on physical resources but on knowledge and technology.

Never have so many been so deluded about so much that their lives depend on.
