Lance O’Sullivan may be joining the Values Party. He has also been in talks with National.

Forget him, Simon. He’s another of these gadfly types. They soar to great heights, but fly to close to the sun and burn up.

And while I’m at it Gez bro who has a fake sun tan in these times.

What’s wrong with wanting to get a little color?
And if we’re too busy to sunbathe outdoors,
what harm could a few sessions in a tanning salon do?

Sunlamps and tanning beds promise consumers a bronzed body year-round, but the ultraviolet (UV) radiation from these devices poses serious health risks.

Two types of UV radiation that penetrate the skin are UV-B and UV-A rays.
UV-B rays penetrate the top layers of skin and are most responsible for sunburns.
UV-A rays penetrate to the deeper layers of the skin and are often
associated with allergic reactions, such as a rash.

Although some people think that a tan gives them a ‘healthy’ glow,
any tan is a sign of skin damage.

With the right leadership personality (or co-leadership, though it seems unlikely) and good mix of candidates TOP will easily cross the 5% threshold in 2020 because its evidence-based policies are sane, sensible and compassionate, many glaringly obvious and long overdue …

I don’t necessarily go along with O’Sullivan’s plans to reduce the health budget. Where does cutting costs by replacing staff [people] with technology [computers and machines] end?

The current government’s Shane Jones says they’re going to rejuvenate forestry via PGF and planting a billion trees, yet I watched ‘Making of NZ’ doco ‘Forestry’ and there was a large, swanky, modern sawmill staffed by just TWO people … and the number of workers toiling out in the bush is constantly being reduced by ever more sophisticated machinery …

Yet those same workers get called lazy dole bludgers when they can’t find a job in remote areas …

        Morena Parti you said ….
“Where does cutting costs by replacing staff [people] with technology [computers and machines] end?”

When there are enuff doctors to cover the outta reaches of the Far North. So till then skype appointments will have to do … much better than waiting for a crisis then truck on into the nearest town a 2 hour trip. Or calling the Heli-med chopper.

I do not like his “proposed penalising beneficiaries who do not get their children vaccinated.”

He may be a community God. But he’d be a toxic political commodity. Interesting that he doesn’t seem to want a bar of Labour? Maybe he can’t stomach all those useless Maori time servers Labour has.

        • PartisanZ

           /  March 14, 2018

          “toxic political commodity” why?

          • Corky

             /  March 14, 2018

Fair Question. Let’s look at similar personalities: Christopher Harder, Dermot Nottingham, Gareth Morgan, Dotcom, the gang-bang leader making school lunches for kids. You can probably think of others.

They all have drive and passion…but only in one direction. They aren’t capable of sustaining anything outside that ‘sphere of interest’ Things must be done
            ”their way.”

To enter politics for someone like Lance O’Sullivan would ultimately be similar to entering jail. In my opinion.

Apparently not with the Maori Party’s co-leadership model …

I dare say he’ll be weighing-up compromising his ‘morals’ on the one hand with surety or certainty of getting elected on the other …

”LABOUR IS STILL IN POWER AND GOVT,”

Decisive insight, Lurchy. When the brain fuzz clears you might like to ask yourself for how long will they remain in power now that the the police are investigating bad stuff.

Us Righties are slowly grinding away, Lurchy. Maybe you should save for life after Labour?

Ardern has a big problem coming down the pipeline unless Winston disappoints whoever he was trying to please with his cozying up to the Russians. The EU ambassador has already cancelled her visit here so no chance of a trade deal because of his attitude and our British friends are demanding our support against Russia. Winnie is going to have to disavow them and quickly.

Americans consume 99 percent of the hydrocodone sold worldwide and 81 percent of all oxycodone — approximately 30 times more than medically necessary for the population size of the U.S.

Between 2002 and 2015, opioids killed an estimated 202,600 Americans
Overdose cases increased by more than 30 percent across the U.S. between July 2016 and September 2017. In the Midwest region, overdose cases rose by 70 percent and overdose mortality by 14 percent

Preliminary data for 2016 reveals the death toll from drug overdoses may be as high as 65,000, exceeding both the AIDS epidemic at its peak and the death toll of the Vietnam War in its entirety

The opioid epidemic has resulted in lowered life expectancy for both men and women in the U.S. for the second year in a row.
    Shit!
