Got the goils eating outta ya hand now eh,
gaining the trust of a pook is very demanding I would say.

What has happened to the tuna in Gez stream all smoked up?
      Where is patupaiarehe these days?
Last seen filming Giant tuna in his awa.
Where What Why … it’s one of those dayz it seems.

I stopped feeding the tuna when Pickles was born. Too risky for the little fella when he got in the wai. They seemed to go away, but I notice a big one is back in the eels stump. Threw some sausage meat in last nite & the minute there were two large ones thrashing around going after it. Then Pickles started calling out from the far parenga to the two adults over my side & I got worried he was going to swim over while the eels were hunting so I came away from the fence.

He’s ok this morning, so either he crossed downstream or he gave up yelling & snuggled down for a sleep.

He sleeps over on the far parenga, probsbly got his own little bed now, but he whines on on & on until he know an adult is nearby.

Hope that isn’t freeze dried hot cross buns? Sodium content remains the same after freezing.

Wheat. They love it. So do the ducks. And the dunnocks. The pooks will pull down & strip the seeds off some wild grasses.

Hettie Hedgesparrow amazed me with how much she can put away. One grain fills her tiny little beak & she got thru 10 of them 1 day before the flock arrived & managed to get one or two each. Surprised she’s not as big as bus.

I saw a pook showing off fencewalking today. They are quite uninhibited about inviting themselves into people’s gardens. If kiwis don’t watch out. pooks will overtake them as the national bird.

Weedspray (?) has turned the local toitoi pink. It’s useless going through the walkway and imagining that I won’t take ages because there is so much to look at all the way along it.

My birds are thriving on Coupland’s multigrain. It’s better than seed, as none is left in the cracks where sometimes it germinates if mice don’t come for a free meal. One mouse was cheeky enough to keep strolling along stuffing his face even when I was close enough to take a close-up photo,

Who has a camera when these things happen ? By the time I’d taken one out and been ready to take the photo, even if I’d had one, Pook would be sneering from the ground. I hope to take some of the pink toitois tomorrow.

Er, say wot, tosser! A true blue collar pommy band everyone seems to ave forgot.

Hardly forgotten, they were one of the big glam rock bands and still have a following. Hardly blue collar, either.Hardly tossers, either.

One needs to be very careful with irony with some individuals, my good man.

It’s not quite like imagining that everyone had forgotten Queen, but Slade have not been. Google them.

Young and old would almost all know Queen; Freddy at least. Not so Slade. They were a niche band compared with Queen who were true superstars.
You can’t tell me you could go up to someone in the street and say:

            Er, you know Noddy Holder.

It’s a little more than ” not quite.”

               /  March 17, 2018

Ask people who else was in Queen and see who knows.

Noddy is very well known among the people with any knowledge about the history of rock music.

This one’s a bit of an ‘earworm’.

Now imagine if we got rid of that screaming skull on the microphone for AC/DC and put Noddy in his place. Noddy can scream in tune but and keep some clarity.

I think Noddy Holder’s clothing might be a bit of an issue for AC/DC!
