There’s been a spate of bombings in Austin Texas this month.

“Police in Austin, Texas, have warned the public that a fourth explosion there may pose a new threat. They said they were investigating reports the explosion, which injured two people, was activated by tripwire.

Three parcel bombs left on doorsteps have killed two people and injured two others since early March.

The police they say they are working under the belief that the explosions are connected. They warned people in the area to remain indoors. Austin police chief Brian Manley told reported on Monday that both of those injured in Sunday’s attack were white men in their 20s, unlike the victims in the previous three attacks who were black or Hispanic.

The latest blast came hours after officials announced a new $100,000 (£71,000) reward for information. The cash reward is on top of an existing $15,000 being offered by the state’s governor.

The two men killed earlier this month were African Americans and police have not ruled out racism as a possible motive.”

Chris Liddell named White House deputy chief of staff. The adage about sports coaches comes to mind: There’s two types of coaches. Those who have been sacked and those, who are waiting to be sacked.

I fully expect that before this is over, trump will be reminding everyone about that time Obama got caught on an open mic talking about grabbing women by the pussy.

Just had word from the UK that an emergency court order is going through to raid Cambridge Analytica Group.

In an undercover investigation by Channel 4 News, the company’s chief executive Alexander Nix said the British firm secretly campaigns in elections across the world. This includes operating through a web of shadowy front companies, or by using sub-contractors.

In one exchange, when asked about digging up material on political opponents, Mr Nix said they could “send some girls around to the candidate’s house”, adding that Ukrainian girls “are very beautiful, I find that works very well”.

In another he said: “We’ll offer a large amount of money to the candidate, to finance his campaign in exchange for land for instance, we’ll have the whole thing recorded, we’ll blank out the face of our guy and we post it on the Internet.”

Offering bribes to public officials is an offence under both the UK Bribery Act and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Cambridge Analytica operates in the UK and is registered in the United States.

The admissions were filmed at a series of meetings at London hotels over four months, between November 2017 and January 2018.

It’s hard to believe Putin pays you to make this shit up Alan.

        • Thats because he doesn’t. Al’s fortnightly cheque will come, whenever that will be, from Ardern.

          😉

Pretty obvious isn’t it? CA is the mercenary for hire to any political entity, not just the Russians. My guess is the Russians were aiming to influence US policy towards Ukraine and paid accordingly. I doubt they turned many US votes though. Their spending seems to have been a minute fraction of what the US political factions spent.

Some seriously incriminating admissions coming out of trump’s campaign fixers Cambridge Analytica – from the Guardian and Motherboard:

CA CEO Alexander Nix speaks of setting up fake IDs, websites, and identities in target countries to gather information and blackmail material.

Former Cambridge Analytica employees have admitted to The Guardian of working on tourist visas during trump’s election campaign.

Nix says CA can subcontract—to Israeli spy firms, for example—and operate under different names for extra layers of obfuscation.

CA MD Mark Turnbull mentions an unnamed Eastern European country where the company “ghosted in,” and then disappeared after the job was done.
