Looks like you’ll have to go on the net and find English radio sport stations if you want commentary for the fight. Wealthy Righties can by a Fan Pass from Sky for $50.
Economically challenged Lefties can peep through the windows of Sports Bars.

Yes, as expected. Surprisingly, I’m not too worried for a number of reasons:

1- The weight of being undefeated is off his shoulders.
2- He has fought in a hostile environment with a gifted champion – whose knocked out all his previous opponents – and survived, while taking a reasonable beat.
3- He still has growing to do and more refinement of skills to learn.

My hope is he beefs up to 110kgs, and starts looking at old Mike Tyson fights, when Tyson was at his best. He needs a new strategy for dealing with champs who have longer reaches. He won’t be short of fights. Deontay Wilder will decide Parker’s strategy for gaining another title shot.

I already told you Tyson was the most over rated heavyweight of the modern era….people can not remember who he ever beat…only who beat ..him.

And I have already told you, you are a Google expert. You have no love for the sweet science. Gezza may be a better bet for conversation on the fight.

Tyson as a boxer died with Cus D’amato. But I’ve never seen fear in a man’s eyes like those of Michael Spinks just before his execution

Brisbane jogger describes savage [racial] attack in park

Seems the attitude is…nothing to see her, lets move on. Muslims/refugees ( I assume) are alright, it’s just a few bad eggs.

ps see the clip at Whale Oil of a refugee bashing two hospital nurses in Belgium.

Seems the attitude is … it’s a racial attack.

The victim described the assailants, said she believes the attack was racially motivated and “there is just a small minority of teenagers causing trouble.”

When similar attacks happen in New Zealand are they ‘racial’? Who determines whether they are or not?

        • Corky

           /  April 1, 2018

The victim is just a victim. Her opinion, in the scheme of things, carries little weight.

However, this persons opinion should carry some weight..but doesn’t:

”Despite the attack, local councillor Sheila Ireland told 9 News there is no African migrant crime problem in Redbank Plains and that no issues have been raised with her or at community meetings.”

         /  April 1, 2018

Two refugees carry out an attack in Belgium, but I suspect that it was not simply because they were refugees as the two things don’t go together by definition.

How about the news story of ambulance workers being attacked in NZ ? There have been many of these, and not done by refugees.

        • Kitty Catkin

           /  April 1, 2018

Sorry, one refugee, two nurses, my mistake. One is too small a sample to prove anything,

”How about the news story of ambulance workers being attacked in NZ ”

We aren’t talking about New Zealand. But now that you mention it, have a guess who are major offenders?

”One is too small a sample to prove anything,”

I’m afraid you are misinformed. These are 1st world civilised nations. Now with an influx of refugees rape and assaults have soared.

             /  April 1, 2018

If you say so. I can’t be bothered arguing with a bigot.

You cited one refugee assaulting two nurses. One. Not an influx, But it’s pointless to try to have a rational discussion with you on this issue.

Says the YNZ resident bigot and troll. How I wish that you meant it when you say goodbye.

A bigot sees everything through the filter of bigotry, You hear of a refugee who attacks two people and seem to assume that they did this because they ARE a refugee. Yet when I state that there are thousands of attacks on medical workers here, you wriggle out of having to answer this with trolling and abuse. You are unable to see any point of view but your own narrow one and don’t want to see or hear anything that challenges this – hence youa abuse and trolling. You were silent when it was proved that Britain did indeed have an empire, albeit one of small places – all 14 of them -and challenged me to name five. I did, or rather named 6. No response from you when you were proved wrong.

              @Kitty
I’ve given you an uptick because you’re a nature buff, a great writer and a pukeko aunt and godmother.

But Corky is right that Britain – or more properly nowadays the United Kingdom, does NOT have an empire any longer. Only some dependent territories. The British monarch is not an Empress.

Does the victim having the opinion about it being a racial attack mean she is the victim of a racial attack?
Is an attack a racial one when someone of one ethnicity is attacks someone of a different ethnicity?

    • Kitty Catkin

       /  April 1, 2018

I would say not of itself. There should be some sign that this is the case, and probably would be. It’s unlikely that the attacker would say nothing to indicate this, surely.
