With the PMs plum chief press secretary job up for grabs you must have really stuffed up to have every opinion writer/candidate slamming you. The comments are universally scathing of her government because I guess all that money you saved from not paying a letting fee will be spent on a bike lane now.

Aitkenhead said the government had reached its conclusion that Russia was responsible for the Salisbury attack by combining the laboratory’s scientific findings with information from other sources.

The UK government moved quickly to make it clear that the prime minister, Theresa May, had always been clear the assessment from Porton Down was “only one part of the intelligence picture”.

Certainly a spanner in the “False flag” narrative, as if it was such an event, I’m sure the evidence would have been clear as day with everyone’s story in alignment.

this…’ two weeks ago Boris Johnson was asked by an interviewer on Deutsche Walle, Germany’s public international broadcaster, how the UK had been able to find out the novichok originated from Russia so quickly.

He replied: “When I look at the evidence, the people from Porton Down, the laboratory, they were absolutely categorical. I asked the guy myself, I said: ‘Are you sure?’ And he said: ‘There’s no doubt.’ So we have very little alternative but to take the action that we have taken.”

Olivier Lepick: There is a kind of mystery around these molecules because the Soviet Union never really recognized that this agent existed, but the international community and the fact that some Russian scientists wrote some documents about this is making it clear that the agent was synthesized by the Russian military complex.

This is probably one of the most toxic — neurotoxic — agents that was ever produced for military use. But it’s the first time it’s been really used, either on the battlefield or like in this case — for a murder attempt. So it’s really a big, big shock for all the experts in chemical weapons.

If this is really Novichok, it’s really big news and a huge shock for the community of experts because it’s clearly a direct link to Russia because, I mean, no nonstate entities could synthesize such a toxic product.

We have to be very prudent before accusing Vladimir Putin and Russia…. We have to check the facts. But again, the only explanation I have, in this context, is that Russia is sending the same message that it has been sending in the past toward those who Russia considers to be traitors. And the message is clear: If you betray Mother Russia, then we will search for you and kill you are wherever you are, whoever is protecting you, and with the most cruel and horrible products that we can find.

That’s the only explanation I can find in this case.

Reports of an active shooter at YouTube HQ just south of San Francisco. Some reports say several people have been shot. The shooter is allegedly a woman.

Could be many different motives related to content?

od course there could be a number of motives which is why I didn’t speculate on motive last night.

This morning it is being reported that she was an animal rights protestor and vlogger who was unhappy at YouTube for what she saw as restricting her videos resulting in fewer views.

the reparations enforced from WW 1 were the catalyst for Britain declaring war in… 1939.

Coverage of the police execution of a man with a machete has been quite muted in the MSM. Heeeeere’s… MARTYN!

Another NZer shot dead by the cops – where did all the tasers go?

Remember the argument the NZ Police used to gain access to tasers? It’s better someone gets tasered than get shot.

So as another Police shooting occurs against a background of Police shootings in NZ that are highly questionable, we are being asked to accept that pre-warned Police chose to engage with a man who had a machete without tasers?

Do we have a trigger happy police force who use non compliance as the threshold to use guns? I certainly believe we do.

These are trained Police Officers who have belt access to tasers, the guns are locked in the boot. We are being asked to believe the Police had the time to stop the car, open the boot, get out their gun and shoot but didn’t have the time to reach for their belt and pull out their taser?

The alpha culture of the Police extends to a subservience of the media, demanding answers to people being killed is not a betrayal of society, it’s the obligation and responsibility of decent citizens.

It was a stupid comment and he deserves a bit of ridicule for it. His sentiment was completely tone deaf and missed the mark with the police and the general public.

Towing is great sport but is anyone allowed to play?

If anyone has an old wreck they want to get rid of can they simply tow it to Dominion Road drop it there and someone will take care of it for them?

It seems some young Greens are trying to manipulate the outcome of the leadership election by threatening to leave the party if Marama isn’t elected. They might have more away if there were more than 10 of them!

This shows yet again an example of how some are petulant with a sense of self entitlement willing to throw a tantrum if they don’t get their own way.

Hell, some young Greens are petulant, have a sense of self entitlement and are willing to throw a tantrum if they don’t get their own way. They’d have that on their own in New Zealand wouldn’t they?
