KB climate cranks and the rubbish they post .

    NIWA data… raw or “corrected”?

I once asked NIWA for data to replicate some of their findings. They were willing to give me “corrected” data but not the raw data nor disclose their “correction” methodology.

    Science? No that’s ideology!

Raw data can be obtained from Niwa by creating an account here
It took me less than five minutes to find .

The method used is also referenced on the same web site.

A revised methodology for adjusting for site changes in the NZ temperature record was published in the peer-reviewed International Journal of Climatology in 1993:

Rhoades, D.A. and Salinger, M.J., 1993: Adjustment of temperature and rainfall records for site changes. Int. Journal of Climatology13, 899 – 913.

This ‘Rhoades & Salinger’ methodology was first applied in a 1990-92 study by the NZ Meteorological Service, and results described in:

Salinger, M.J., McGann, R., Coutts, L., Collen, B., Fouhy, E. 1992: South Pacific Historical Climate Network Climate Station Histories. Temperature Trends in New Zealand and Outlying Islands, 1920-1990. NZ Meteorological Service, Wellington. ISBN 0-477-01598-0.\

    Maggy Wassilieff

The ombuds(wo)man shut the door to questioning NIWA about its methodology.
We are all too dumb to understand the complexities of their data homogenisation and we musn’t compromise our Ozzie mates.

As maggy has had the above site and its content pointed out to to her many times one must question why she continues to post such conspiratorial nonsense.

    Arctic Ice isn’t melting
It’s been roughly the same for years

Michael Mann the legendarily incompetent creator of the now eviscerated hockey stick graph, zero credibility

Distinguished professor Mann has had his work confirmed by many studies since
    Mann,. Bradley Hughes 1998
This paper alone has been cited 2200 times .
Mann’s published papers have been cited 29199 times with 12003 citations since 2013.
If you had the time to pursue those 29199 citations you will find papers by thousands of scientists that not only support Manns early work but expand on its conclusions
    Hardly discredited.

The effort to discredit Manns paper centers on a work by McIntyre and McKitrick.
This is an expose of the methods used by McIntyre and McKitrick to tamper with code to get their predetermined result .
As a result both McIntyre and McKitrick are the ones discredited within the science community/

All of this has been pointed out many times to the community at KB
For some strange reason the Kb community continue to lie and attack legitimate science and scientists with lies and conspiracy idealization .
Behavior that DPF encourages and protects.
You can infer as to what my opinion is of DPF.

8.55am. Nothing from Lurch yet. Feels wrong somehow.

Mind you I guess all the ZB presenters he loathes don’t work weekends, like us retired jokers do.

Might be dog agility somewhere today to. RED will be wanting to show off his tartan collar. Toss some cabers maybe. 🤔

NatRad has presenters with surprisingly extensive collections of horrible & tuneless guitar band music that a few bogans suffering from depression would probably like.
