It looks like tyres rather than cabbages, Or possibly a lot of boats. It’s better than what’s behind it, but it wouldn’t be too hard to be that.

I can’t make this one play.

Your tree has gone bare early ! My big tree is losing leaves, but somehow doesn’t look too different. The oak and ash are trying to make up their minds.

Two power cuts today. They were quite short, thank goodness.

That’s Charlie Drake’s tree. I haven’t been able to find out what kind of tree it is. It was an everygreen, very leafy, and would bloom with lots of bunches of tiny red berries. All of a sudden its leaves started dying I guess maybe a year ago and it’s been completely bare like that ever since.

Great observation post. I used to watch the pooks trying to raise earlier clutches of pooklets from up there.

I’ve cut some branches, and the wood’s still good inside. And oddly where I cut some branches back from the top of the BS blockwall they have grown back over it, so I don’t know what’s happening there.

The pooks have all disappeared as a group. Pickles & Aspen were standing stiffly erect & intently watching the sky as a few of these went over. They then signalled to the others & all of them have shepherded Jojo northwards, downstream & probably under cover, because the whole flock’s turned. They hate these gulls & will attack them if they land.

Don’t know why the movie won’t play for you, Kitty. Works ok for me. Sometimes it takes a while to load before it starts playing.

The Pooks came back this afternoon. You can see how they react to a gull in the vicinity.

My dog used to bark at the dog who appeared every night at the front door (plain glass) as soon as it was dark. Every time he went past, the dog would be there. He must have finally worked out that it was him. ‘It’s YOU, you idiot !!!’

My cat utterly refuses to look at her image in the mirror, she turns away instantly if I hold her in front of it, and if I then turn her towards it she quickly turns her head the other way.

My Siamese would look (amazed by their own beauty, knowing the breed) and I have known cats to walk behind a mirror to see the cat there.

The dog looked like an absolute idiot (I have to admit this, much as I love him) barking at himself.

The people who bred my last Siamese bought a touch radio – with all those Siamese and Oriental cats around. The cat whose turn it was to sleep with them, a Siamese, learned at once what fun it was to turn the radio on full blast in the middle of the night.and see (and hear) the reaction.
