Dirty political campaign continues

Despite claiming to have received a legal warning last week and then claiming to be the victim, a blog is continuing with a dirty smear campaign. They have even ‘hinted’ in effect how they may be flouting the legal warning.

Last week one of them commented here:

Yet that is exactly what your post is attempting to do, ie spread the rumour that a hinted at party is behind the rumours and you are attempting to smearing them in a weasely manner with innuendo without any evidence! You really take the cake Pete.

I’m not sure whether she is trying to be funny, or is unaware of the oodles of irony dripping from this.

This isn’t about so-called rumours, I’m pointing out that I have seen numerous dirty smear posts (in my opinion) on that blog since September 2017 that have targeted the partner of the Prime Minister, and they continued on a daily basis over the weekend.

I think that it is the partner of a blogger who really takes the big dirty mud cake here.

I think you need a mentor, not a companion.

BOYS ! Play nicely, or you know what will happen !

Now, shake hands and say that you’re sorry, nicely.

No, Gezza, it’s not funny to say ‘That you’re sorry nicely.’

Alan…I hope that I didn’t see you making a rude gesture.

Or it is a ploy to get the lawyers to sue when you have irrefutable evidence that the rumours are true.

Legal profession have to be careful not to cry wolf to often in regard writing cease and desist letters than not carrying out a legal injunction. If they are sure of their position they need to sue for if they don’t they would have cried wolf once again.

Problem is when the legal profession does do an injunction, the rumours will be out in the open for wider public perusal.

sueing for defamation is a rich mans ….game…lawyers charge 6 figure sums for the action.

So the rumours will continue. Courage and conviction are two words to consider.

It has come to the point where Lawyers letters are mere bagatelle unless they start to actually proceed with litigation.

The rumour is already out, no need for me to want it out. More interested in the machinations of the legal, police and political cover ups.

Well it might be but it’s either not true – because no msm or main blogger will publish what it is what is when it’d be a best seller & they could easily defend it against a defamation action if it was demonstrably true – or it’s just not having any impact at all on the general population most of who aren’t even interested. These rumours are only giving orgasms to a tiny few dirt bags. Ok, it’s good they’re getting their jollies from it, so at least they’re happy about something, I guess, but who the hell cares about dirt bags enjoying spreading rumours amongst themselves?

Yeah but it sounds lime they’re only smearing & not game to say what the rumours are? Not that all that many people would really want to know & to go & trawl through there looking for it. If it’s not prominent & explicit I wasn’t gonna waste my time booting up the lappy for a looksee. Just nasty kidstuff by the sound of it. Like a lot of it. Grownups couldn’t give a damn.

Last thing I would do is take on board any recommendation you may make…am not having a funeral…you would not enjoy the party…so don’t bother looking me up…even if you could find me.

  5. This story looks like fizzling out apart from a few trying to poke it along.

I just posted this to show that the claim that a certain blog had nothing to do with trying to insinuate and spread the rumour was bull.

Their continued smear posts are less worse juvenile given the dirty intent..

      Much Ado About Nothing.

It might – just might – be interesting if we knew what the rumour was, but as it is, it’s become a cracking bore. It’s about as riveting as the old ‘I know something you don’t know’ of schooldays.

There have to be more interesting things going on than this,

Be interesting to find out who these people are on twitter. A quick look today shows the ones that made their accounts private since the story went mainstream are back and peddling different rumours now, often commenting across each others feeds.

(PG: This is kinda semi-related to ‘the’ rumours so delete if not ok) What we do know is one of these people knew about the Labour camp scandal within 24 hours of the event taking place (as the Daily Blog covered at the time). This may have made people more likely to believe the Gayford lies and leaves unanswered questions as to how this person knew about the camp allegations so quickly.

      • This is ok, except that it’s far too sketchy to make any conclusions from. If they have switched IDs on Twitter it must be difficult to trace them back to old IDs. And to trace the source of stories.

          • And on WO some have been suggesting this was a Labour conspiracy to damage them and National – except I’m sure they played a part in spreading the rumours.

Yes, and on WO there are probably some who think that man hasn’t landed on the moon. And the earth is flat. And Graham Henry shouldn’t have been made All Black coach in 2011. And Lorde would have one hit and we’d never heard of her again. And that WO is a source of rational sane, dispassionate political opinion.

I guess if one other joins me in saying the rumour thing came from people connected with Whale Oil it could legitimately be said, “on Your NZ some have been suggesting this was a National conspiracy.”
