The star of Donald?

The Trump versus Iran situation is a high risk international play, with Trump having isolated the US from Europe and other allies, apart from Israel, and he is talking big on threats against Iran (who is close to Russia and China).

Who knows what might happen now? No one can do anything but guess and hope.

Perhaps the star of Donald will shine peace on the Middle East. It would be an unprecedented international success.

But it could as easily turn to custard in an already very lumpy region of the world. In distance countries we must hope that it doesn’t become nuclear custard – the level of Trump’s current rhetoric can easily be interpreted as threats of a big bang.

The danger is that one day Trump may paint himself into a corner, and either have to back down bigly, or push a very dangerous button.

We may end up with the mushroom of Donald.

The system has developed a personality all of its own – a cautious predictable [stuck for word?] Victor Davis Hansen compares Trump to the gunfighter who comes into town but people don’t know how he become a gunfighter and neither do they understand thugs.

Geez the USA pursuing a foreign policy in IT’S own interest and everyone complains?

The Iran ‘deal’ was bad for the US in many peoples eyes… just frees Iran to do as it pleases behind the smokescreen of a Treaty and a “its been solved” attitude

Now all eyes are focused on Iranian centrifuges and what they are being used for…

    Interesting times

Didn’t/doesn’t anyone find it odd and insulting to say (as this is saying) that it ISN’T/WASN’T great then/now ? I don’t believe that it was ever great except in the sense of large, but this is a very odd slogan.

He means it’s become a shit country. He wants to make it a great country. Also he wants the world to do whatever is good for America.

I would have thought that people would have disliked being told that it wasn’t great now; who wants to be told that theirs is a shit country, as you elegantly put it ? A better slogan would have been ‘Keep America Great’. Both show great conceit, of course. But I’d have thought that something like mine would have had more appeal.
