61 Palestinians murdered by IDF snipers as at midnight Tuesday.

NB: this figure may include a baby girl suffocated by teargas dropped well behind the fence-line by IDF drones.

Makes you wonder what a baby girl was doing there doesn’t it?

        She was probably at home.

She was at home, doofus. There are villages not that far from the fence. The IDF is flying drones that sometimes drop clusters of teargas bombs near the villages.

I apologise for my error. That was my understanding last night. Inattention on my part, not Aljaz misinformation.

    The Muslim Brotherhood has declared war on the US;

“Jerusalem is an Islamic and Arab land, for which we shed blood, freedom, and life, and we wage war against every aggressor and every supporter of aggression….Palestinian factions and Islamic movements to ignite an uprising [‘intifada’] throughout the Islamic world against the Zionist occupation and the American administration.”

Empty rhetoric, as usual. It is correct though, as the Bible shows. The Israelites stole the land from others but the Jews couldn’t even maintain it as a single state and only actually controlled it for about 300 years. For most of subsequent history – around 1400 years – except for the periods where it was taken over by the crusaders, who massacred the Jews in Jerusalem – it has been in Muslim hands.

        “Empty rhetoric, as usual. ”

Yes, they just promise violence, and let their people get slaughtered to produce headlines.

“except for the periods where it was taken over by the crusaders, who massacred the Jews in Jerusalem – it has been in Muslim hands.”

How did the Muslims get it exactly?

Mainly conversions I think. Would need to check that though. Most of the Jews had been booted out long before by the Romans.

That is one way of putting it.

Aljazeera tv is currently showing an in-depth analysis of the Palestine Israel history and the current forces in play on both sides.

I will post the link when it becomes available later for those who are interested in understanding the situation rather than just swallowing and pumping out the selective information and propaganda of whichever side they favour.

    • Talk of Nobel Peace prizes may have been a bit premature – I have pointed this out before.

And stirring up the Middle East may count against it as well.

Blaming the rest of the world was always factual b.s. but tactically smart as previously noted. The rest of the package pulls too many punches. Hopefully it will get modified after the elections later this year. Politicians too dependent on lobbying at present.

“Boiled down, they [Trump, Pence & 10 members of Cabinet] believe in Armageddon — an apocalyptic Middle Eastern war — and the second coming of Jesus Christ. When this happens, 144,000 Christian souls will be granted access to Heaven. The rest will remain on Earth to be punished.

In this context, chaos in the Middle East is interpreted as a good thing. To them, it’s a sign that the Second Coming is at hand. Peace efforts are simply postponing God’s will.

Oddly enough, it’s a belief very similar to the prophecy Islamic State used to inspire its jihadist fighters. Here, the final showdown between Islam and infidels would bring the second coming of the prophet Jesus, which would herald the end of days. One difference is that the final battle will be sited at Dabiq in northern Syria, not Meggido (Armageddon) in northern Israel.

    Both religious views are fundamentalist.”
