An American tourist off a cruise liner gets lost while trying to meet up with cruise friends in Belfast.

He decides to go into a bar & ask for directions.

As he goes up to the bar he’s suddenly surrounded by a suspicious & threatening-looking bunch of locals.

“Are ye a Catholic or a Protestant?” a little rat-faced one demands.

    “I’m a Mormon”, he says.

“Well … are ye a Catholic Mormon or a Protestant Mormon? 😡

Aljaz tv news reports that apparently typically dumb hawkish statements by Trump’s jingoistic nutjob chairborne warrior UN ambassador John Bolton are also now being blamed for further putting the Kim-Trump summit in jeopardy. Will try to get more details.

Mainly Kim, having played Trump well so far, now playing a spot of hardball to try & extract some pre-summit concessions, their smart money’s on though. Kim’s been given no incentive at all to make a deal & is now demanding some movement from the US before he makes a deal.

Wonder what he & Xi were talking about?

Oops my mistake. Bolton’s his National Security Advisor, I forgot. He used to favour attacking just about every country whose name came up.

Kimberley Halkett reports that Sarah Sanders says The White House was expecting this from Kim & reiterated that if Kim doesn’t do as he’s been told there won’t be no summit nohow anyways (or words to that general effect).

Israelis in a blue funk after Turkey boots their Ambassador out & pats him down at the airport on the way out.

Aw poor thing. I’ve go an artificial hip and knee along with a colostomy bag.
Once tbe only issue was simply the joints. Now with full body scans they are defaulted out of the picture and the colostomy bag is obvious.
Have got used to the pat yourself down and hold out you hand to be swabbed and the wait until the sniffing machine says no explosives.

A bit of light reading to start the day.

“Prophecy is unfolding in the Middle East. Riots. Killings. War. At its centre is President Donald Trump. And his evangelical supporters are hoping he will bring on Armageddon.”

“vice-president Mike Pence is a stoic evangelical. He makes no secret that he devoutly believes that war in the Middle East is God’s will. That God wants Israel returned to the Jews. That Armageddon is part of God’s plan.”

“Boiled down, they believe in Armageddon — an apocalyptic Middle Eastern war — and the second coming of Jesus Christ. When this happens, 144,000 Christian souls will be granted access to Heaven. The rest will remain on Earth to be punished.”

Does the Bible say anything about the ultimate fate of non-voters? Just out of vague interest … 😶

It sounds like we are going to punished by staying on Earth as opposed to being in Heaven with a lot of Evangelical Chrstians.

One person’s heaven might be another’s hell.

I’m not sure where that leaves the Isamic martyrs and their virgins

Oh – no worries. They’re going to Paradise, not Heaven. But when they get there they’re going to find out:
          1. Them virgins is all blokes
          2. Theys all as ugly as sin.

“Prophecy is unfolding in the Middle East. Riots. Killings. War. ”

Can you please point to a time in the Middle East when this wasn’t the case?

*snort* hardly… Guiliani is about as credible as his boss in the WH. That argument has been around since the year dot. See following from 1997 for example:

Then read Ken Starr’s 2017 memo where he says that a sitting president may be indicted, arrested, tried, and convicted.

Then read the Supreme Court in Clinton v. Jones where the SC held that the president could not wholly evade legal process while in office.

It’s a sure bet that Mueller’s team is aware of all of this and it’s also a sure bet that blow-hard dotard Rudy is just trying to spin fake news and throw as much dirt around as he can for trump’s benefit.

Mueller doesn’t even need to indict. If he submits a damning conclusion about the president’s conduct, to the Deputy AG, and Rosenstein elects to disclose it “in the public interest” then trump will be just as damned, both internationally as well as domestically.

Hah, turns out Guiliani didn’t hear from Mueller at all. Turns out that Giuliani had heard this second-hand from Jay Sekulow, trump’s other lawyer, and wasn’t clear at all what had been said.

Turns out Guiliani’s a blow-hard dotard and a lying piece of shit.

The Senate Judiciary Committee has released its investigation of the June 2016 meeting at Trump Tower with the Russians.

    The Committee finds:

    – the Kremlin used the NRA as a means of assisting trump and his campaign.

    – multiple contacts between the trump campaign and Russian government officials or their
    intermediaries “which warrant further investigation”

    – the trump campaign was willing to accept a hostile foreign government’s assistance

    – trump campaign officials didn’t report the offer of Russian assistance to proper authorities

    Soooo, nothing new there….
