In this article about the problems of the crude analysis by social justice warriors of school suspension and expulsion rates in the US, one could change the word “black” for “Maori” and the same situation exists here.

Yep, I’ve already mentioned this problem in New Zealand. Polynesian kids are major offenders. Didn’t go down too well. Liberal drips are liberal drips no matter which part of the world they come from, except for North Korea, which doesn’t have them.

Here’s another chap who ain’t too popular:

He’s probably not very popular because he’s as boring as bloody batshit. 13 minutes was all I could tolerate. Talk about a dribbler.

Twyford has stuffed this up if the taxpayers are already going to subsidise 1st home buyers who cant get on the housing ladder through Kiwibuild because its easier to throw money at a problem then letting high income couples who could buy without assistance is a waste of tax money.
There are already income restrictions on the home start grant why not continue the model, you could literally end up with a couples income of 200k a year getting a cheap taxpayer funded house.

except this Govt does not want to punish hardworking couples who find it near on impossible to get into the housing market.A dual income of 150k to address 800k mortgages is still…difficult.

      • David

         /  May 21, 2018

That would be for a 1.1 million dollar house for a 1st home buyer assuming 20% deposit ! Is that a problem that needs fixed by the taxpayers….anyway thats only 900 a week in payments which would leave them 2k a week for everything else.

           /  May 21, 2018

          readdress your math…gross pay.

          • David

             /  May 21, 2018

Where did you say gross pay ? under your team it doesnt matter anyway as there is no limit, could be making 500k a year or be trust fund babies which is the problem with policy being made by idiots who are too dumb to work out how to target programs.
I suppose it doesnt really matter as in 7 months there are 18 Kiwibuild houses so its hardly a balance sheet risk with Twyford running things.

regardless 20% of 1.1 mil =$880000….don’t thank me.

As I said earlier, this government of tax and regulate will never fix the actual problem by rolling back idiot over-regulation but will instead pour more taxpayer money into its bottomless hole. Inevitable when you elect morons.

Trump backs Alan,s point in his slashing of regulation and cutting taxes is resulting in a very buoyant economy.
Its a grunty bit of work with loads of vested interests deregulating the construction industry, National made it worse after Labour made it awful and Twuyford is as dumb as a sack of spanners so doubt he will help.

ISIS controls the camp. Most of the Pallies have fled. Nobody likes ISIS, Lurchy.

Not even the yanks are keen on them, although the pretty much created them. With friends like the yanks, who needs enemies? :/

An interesting legal perspective in France:
But France’s highest administrative court warned that setting a firm legal age of consent “could be seen as violating an adult’s presumption of innocence and would be therefore declared unconstitutional.” Instead, lawmakers opted to classify sex with a minor under 15 as rape if the child “lacked the necessary discernment to consent.”

Seems a valid point that the legal age of consent does in fact create an arbitrary presumption of guilt. I’m no fan of the assumption that young people have no sense of responsibility or judgement. IMO it turns the assumption into reality at a time when teaching the opposite is a prerequisite for a successful life.

    Maori Wards Rejected.

Excellent, New Zealand isn’t quite stuffed yet. But Marama Davidson is right – this is just the beginning of the battle. She knows in another ten years time a new generation of non-thinkers will change this outcome.

The first axiom (?) should be self evident. Alas, ‘civilised community’ was mentioned. There are no genuine civilised countries on this planet …yet.

On radio NATIONALZB andrew dickens is more anti-Labor than usual today, its a pity any sign of balanced opinions has gone the same way as Sir key and bill english they have gone and balanced radio has gone.

       /  May 21, 2018

This Dickens chap has a point- we would have been better off under Nationals tax cuts. Especially as National would’ve moved the tax brackets up. Now we have half the middle class on welfare and the other half toughing it out. Regardless, the middleclass are still the financial mules for both the poor and wealthy.

I don’t know why Australian laws won’t let NZ help young homeless Kiwis in Australia, but if they won’t, they won’t. It seems an insoluble problem . It’s just been on 3 news. People were demanding that the government ‘do something’…but what ?

For those keenly interested, 1 ewes advises that the Duchess of Sussex now has her own page on the British Royal Family website, and she describes herself as a feminist. HMQEII is too, I believe, so no problems there.
