Listening to ZB last evening.. discussing the prison overflow problem; most callers were saying (paraphrased) ‘it is NZs obsession with maintaining the USA-led War on Drugs & using prison as a ‘one-stop-shop’ as a place to dump the ‘undesirables’ inc. mental health patients’ a large number of these should be in Drug or Mental health Treatment.. NOT jail.

a couple of Red-necks rang & said that IF they were even ‘TOUGHER on crime’ esp. DRUGS then most ‘crims’ would want to stay out… even saying that to many ‘it is like a holiday camp !’ How totally f@cking Ignorant sez I 😦
