When I lived there 90% of the Canadian population lived within 50 miles of the US border. Probably even more now.

Damn, just been to a very wealthy suburb to watch the kids play ripper rugby.

I standing on the sideline with another lower middleclass dude when an immaculately dressed women offers us a selection of free; freshly baked muffins. I wanted all the orange and marmalade ones, but fought hard to take just one. I was just finishing that off and thinking- pity their wasn’t coffee and tea to swish that lot down, when another women came over with a portable drinks trolley and offered us more free refreshments.

The mind boggles at what’s probably on offer in Remmers.

I love cuke sarnies, thin, thin white bread, real butter, slices of crunchy cucumber with a little salt and pepper…

I hate cooking with a great passion, always have,

I make a lot of something; freeze it, do the same with something else, freeze that and keep two out. Half of my freezer is full of little red dishes ! Take one out, micro it, one dish to wash.

Something else to thank Sir Rogered, the Robber Barons and Ruthanasia for?

‘Govt vows to crack down on exploitation of migrant workers’ – NZHeraldo

“The Labour Inspectorate, the country’s employment regulator, says more than $700,000 in workplace penalties was dished out in the 2017/2018 financial year, up from $477,000 the previous year.

And 161 employers were placed on Employment New Zealand’s stand-down list, barred from hiring migrant workers for varying amounts of time. Many of the companies and employers on the list are themselves run by migrants.”

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=12064707

Central figures in safeguarding these workers rights? Our much maligned unions.

Mind you, “migrant workers” is only a name for the foreign workers we exploit here at home.

We mostly all of us support exploitation of foreign workers every time we engage with the ‘sweatshop economies’ of $2 Shops, cut-price/discount stores and practically every big retailer …

Trump’s pardon of Muhammed Ali is bizarre, especially his idea that Muhammed Ali was unpopular then but is now.

Not to mention that there is nothing to pardon. Hardly esoteric knowledge.

Did anyone see the dancing, singing surgeon ?

Even I knew that, so it must be very common knowledge indeed ! There’s no excuse for Trump not knowing it.

Let’s hope you were wearing Hanes double pleated underpants, Lurchy. It would have been a shame to ruin your leather upholstery. And, I’m sure your fans would have missed your riveting posts.
