A muso friend of mine in Auckland asked me what I thought of an original work he sent me last week. I said it was brilliant & suggested he knock up a video & post it on youtube. The draft video he sent me wasn’t just a photo slideshow like I suggested & is equally brilliant. He’s got some arty skills in that area too. I think you’ll really like this song. It’s Tuesday to day, & 8pm’s the deadline I gave him to finish the job & put it up there. Otherwise daily harassment will begin.

Great! I can’t wait. My original diet (via inheritance) was punk, reggae, and metal, but I keep stretching myself further and further in other directions.

Very nice clean guitar work here, & she does a nice version. It came up as a suggestion after yours above.

Righto, snowy. I justed texted my mate and said “where is it?”. He’s in Aucks but replied he’s got an actual excuse – they’ve had no power since 5pm yesterday. I’m gonna keep the pressure up & he’s been told.

I was wondering but didn’t want to ask. Typical dysfunctional Dorkland infrastructure; I’ve been lucky this time.

A grey, drizzly day was enlivened by seeing a lovely kereru…and lots of pooks and pooklets which I see every day and love every day. They are brazenly coming further and further in and prancing around as if they owned the place. I saw a large black bird who must have been a shag, but in a strange place for one to be, No wonder it takes so long to go anywhere from this house, there’s always something to see,

The two pook kids got banned from the yard today. They keep pulling up grass and leaving holes in the lawn. Young Pickles would see me watching him & make a big show of just clipping it. But the minute he got out of sight or I sneaked back to look unseen thru the net curtains the little ratbag was at it again. And Jojo hasn’t got the message yet either! So they both got chased out thru the gate. And the second time I closed the gate.

Aspen & Sweety got a bit nervous but they soon worked out it was the kids in trouble, not them. And they can fly in & out anyway. So they were allowed to continue grazing This is how I taught those two adults not to do it.

I asked them why they don’t stop their kids from doing this, but they both just shrugged their wings as if to say “Kids! What can ya do?”. So obviously I’m not going to get any help from the parents!

Sweety had a real go at Pickles over something yesterday. Gave him a real kicking & chased him thru the gate. Didn’t see what started it but there didn’t seem to be any argy bargy between them today.

I blame the parents…and the government.

It’s like my dog digging, thinking that I won’t know who’s done it or be able to make the connection between black paws and muddy holes.

Oh, horrors, someone else trying to destroy the mystery of the Loch Ness monster, unless it was a hoax. Why can’t people just let these things be a mystery rather than trying to spoil the fun of it ? Bah, humbug.

Well, I don’t mind – I like both the mystery & the searches.

If they destroy the mystery, they will have spoiled the pleasure of many people. I can’t see the point.

They’ll never solve the mystery. That loch’s been examined side to side & end to end so many times in so many different ways. There’s actually probably nothing unusual there but if dna analysis of loch water is even possible we might at least learn something new about what life’s in it.

Too bad. Others do. And others don’t give a rodent’s bottom one way or the other.
