No doubt he was asked to give his opinion by the reporter rather than just offer one up…unlike a certain 2-time general election loser who can’t seem to keep her nose out of govt affairs since she was fairly recently rejected by the UN.

“Can’t seem to keep her nose out of govt affairs” ?

What do you mean? Clark can’t comment as much as any citizen about stuff which happens in the country? That if she does she is ‘poking her nose in’ with some sort of negative connotation? And I’m poking my nose in? And you, as I’ve we shouldn’t?

Or do you mean with the puerile conspiratorial notions I’ve seen elsewhere – “Helen’s the one really running the country.”

        • A common criticism of having a republic is that it would enable Clark to become president.

Clark was voted out of govt by the NZ public for a reason, John Key………….wasn’t.

Dupz: “Or do you mean with the puerile conspiratorial notions I’ve seen elsewhere – “Helen’s the one really running the country.”

Don’t be silly – everybody knows Winston is the one really running the country. Ardern can’t even keep her own MPs in order.

And presumably there should be no confidential council documents which councillors leak to media or use for other purposes.

If you commissioned a report for 920k scoping a new stadium ,that recommended another report was needed, you probably wouldn’t want it broadcast. That’s when the evergreen…’commercially sensitive’ excuse gets trotted …out.

Does the evergreen…’commercially sensitive’ excuse get trotted out when commercial entities indicate their willingness to proceed with some action but don’t want the fact broadcast because the information being out would have commercial impacts?
