For posting on events, news, opinions and anything of interest from around the world.

  1. Equal rights have a long way to go in some countries.

  2. US media do have accuracy and credibility problems, but nowhere near to the extent that Trump does.

”44% of Germans feel less safe then they did a few years ago.”

That may put a lie to these stats or at least show public perceptions are not what the stats are showing.

I see antisemitism is on the rise which is understandable given Muslim migrants.

      • It wouldn’t be unusual for public sentiments to differ from reality on crime, especially in an age where online scaremongering is rife.

The statistics also listed the number of crimes by non-German nationals, which have also significantly declined, falling by 23 per cent since last year, from 950,000 to just over 700,000.

Last month it was reported that the number of migrants in Germany had reached a record high, with 10.6 million people with foreign citizenship living there.

A record high number of migrants but with significantly less crime is something you missed mentioning from that report.

No, I didn’t miss mentioning it because you had already stated that statistic. So you were proven right. I just added a couple of things that weren’t mentioned that are, in my opinion, very important.

I guess what I’m saying is I don’t believe those stats. Simple extrapolation of migrant behaviour in Europe, Merkel under political pressure and what’s happening in Britain
has me suspicious. Crime numbers should be going up..
