This is what will happen with Auckland trams – wrong scope, run by people that don’t know what they are doing, over budget and run late.

When you are are critic of Islam and Muslims you run into this problem which you cannot defend against because the speaker speaks the truth. The audience, many whom probably have no knowledge of Islam, have their worldview reinforce…Islam is OK, and Muslims are nice people. Those nutters who blow things up have nothing to do with real Islam.

        Let me help you, Patzcuaro.

What you are seeing above is a poster child for Western Liberals. A poster child for the ignorant. And dare I say, a parody of self ignorance regarding what the speaker believes.

Yet, from her experiences she speaks the truth. Neither she nor Liberals are looking at the global picture. Being called a Sand Nigga in Iowa is a world apart from being stoned to death in Saudia Arabia. She is safe in the West.

So when a Rightie like me comes alone…. well, we are deluded racists. Even though I spelt it out to you in the above post you still cannot get your head around my comments because this lady speaks the truth and proves I’m deluded.

Hence my comment that I have no defence against Muslims like the above woman.

You assume that all Muslims are like the fanatical ones, but don’t seem to like having the fallacy of that pointed out .

It is as stupid to think that most Muslims are fanatics because some are as it is to think that most Americans are mass killers because some are. I took it for granted that anyone reading that would have the sense to see that I was exposing the falsity of that soi-disant logic. You were using the old all As are Bs, ergo all Bs are As.

Did you know that there is more than one branch of Islam ?

What a very tiresome wee man you are.

Your attempt at sarcasm displays the paucity of your arguments. It is a poor substitute for logic and reason. Those who resort to this sort of personal abuse show that they are baffled and unable to use reasoned responses .

You haven’t actually spelt out exactly what your problem is with what this young muslim woman is saying. So therefore some assumptions are being made by both of you which is leading to a muddle of accusations & irrelevancies on both sides which has generated a lot of heat but no light at all on what you think is wrong with what the young Muslima is saying.

Ditto. I came online to look up one thing, an hour later I an still here.

It’s not too bad up here, I have the door open to let air in and it’s cloudy outside; rather pretty cloud formations that reinforce my decision not to cover my windows. They are sort of pearly grey, most attractive. It’s cold, but not very cold, just enough to make the contrast between in and out pleasing. I do have a heater on; a good radiant heater with three heats. Usually one bar is enough, which is gratifying. The dog is snuggled up beside me.

I have nearly finished a bio of Amy Bock, sold by dear old Uncle Lye. (Uncle Lye Berry, that kind relation who lends his books out and sometimes sells some) What a good book, so much detail !

Holy crap. I received this from my Trust Board.

    Tēnā koe Corky

    He panui tenei.

It has been confirmed that Lindavia intermedia has been found in the Waikato and Manawatu-Whanganui regions for the first time.

Lindavia intermedia is a microscopic freshwater algae species that floats in the water column of lakes and rivers and has the potential to create lake snow. It poses no risk to food sourced from lakes or to human and animal health. Currently there is no known impact on the health of lakes when it isn’t producing lake snow, however further research is needed.

Lindavia intermedia was discovered in the North Island in Lake Waikaremoana in 2008. Early this year, researchers from NIWA were trying to figure out when lake snow first arrived in the country and tested historic water samples. They confirmed with Horizons Regional Council late last month that Lindavia intermedia was present in samples taken from the Moawhango River.

Further investigation completed yesterday has confirmed it is also present in Lake Rotoaira and Lake Taupō. Testing is underway on water samples from waterways downstream from Lake Taupō.

We are currently reviewing this kaupapa, including our response going forward. Although it is already in our main waterways, and has possibly been for some time, it is important to continue with the ‘check, clean and dry between our wai’ kaupapa to ensure that other waterways aren’t being put at risk.

As you will appreciate, this has been a fast-moving kaupapa and I wished to inform you of this directly at the earliest opportunity.

A media release can be found here and extra information can be found here.

            “WHAT IS LAKE SNOW?
Lake snow is sticky and looks like strands of mucus or slime “hanging” under the water.

Lake snow may be found by members of the public as slime on fishing gear and boat hulls. It could also cling to them when swimming. It can clog boat filters, as well as industrial and domestic water supply filters.

Researchers don’t know for sure what causes Lindavia intermedia to produce lake snow. What we do know is that it’s likely to have been in these Waikato and Manawatū-Whanganui region lakes for more than a decade. Over that time, it has not produced lake snow and we have no evidence of it causing issues.”

We keep “historic water samples”? …..

      I’m tempted to ask wai?

I wonder if the Biatom Lindavia Intermedia affects a water’s suitability for bottling?

Produces copious amounts of extracellular polymeric substance (EPS) …

      It’s a Bi-Atom?

Maybe we can manufacture something like Lake Snow Plastic from the mucous-like stuff?

I wonder if there’s any bottled historic drinking water?

Nah … seriously … when it comes to marketing fresh air in aerosol cans or plastic ‘breather’ bottles, it’ll be the same sorta thing as water … ‘Fresh Mountain Breeze’ … ‘Clean Country Gust’ … ‘Farmyard Waft & Whiff’ …. ‘Open Sea Zephyr’ or ‘Urban Blast’ (with a hint of Petrol, Rubber & Co2) …

‘Good Old Days’ or ‘Better Times’ could be legitimate brands …?

Stuff always tasted better ‘Back Then’ (another great brand name) …

While the people who can’t afford canned air will have to settle for ‘Street Stench’, Motorway Fumes, Landfill Emanance and Rising Sewer …

People made the obvious points that most people will get nothing and be worse off because of the fuel tax and so on. Too bad for people with no children on small incomes, let them sub those far better off.

‘Wendy’s Supa Sundaes NZ franchisees rebrand to Shake Shed & Co, owner takes businesses to court’ – NZHeraldo

“Global Food Retail Group, owned by parent company Global Yellow Pages, acquired the Australian Retail Franchise Group, the former master frachisor of Wendy’s Supa Sundaes, in September 2014 … A spokesman for the owning company said both Supatreats Asia and Supatreats NZ had filed legal proceedings against Shake Shed & Co.”

Can anyone follow the money? (Which, of course, is a key component of the whole concept)

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=12073478

Big franchises were a kind of fifth column – which may or may not have been coincidental – the thin end of the wedge, spearheading ‘globalisation’ and ‘free market reforms’

I mean just how stupid did ‘Kentucky Fried Chicken’ look towering over the Royal Oak roundabout …. And we must remember this place has a Maori identity too …

“We rebranded as a group as we feel that we need to be separated from this international franchisor to be able to survive.” … [despite the fact we only exist because of this international franchise and its brand] …

You’ve heard me talk about ‘Inverted Totalitarianism’ before …?

Well, if that wasn’t bad enough it seems neoliberalism’s favourite business model, the Franchise – where brand is paramount – where business “owners” are told what to do just like lowly employees – has confused, disarrayed, haywired and inverted itself Right up its own arse …
