MP claims death threats against her and children

It appears to have been on Facebook.

I’ve got no reason to doubt this claim from Davidson. It is extremely concerning that anyone gets threatened online, let alone an MP and her children.

I hope the police get involved in this and hold those responsible to account.

Protection from extreme threats must take precedence over so called ‘free speech’.

Fuckwits like this do my cause a lot of good. This is what happens when people believe & use the crap in their holy books to justify the views they already hold or have been taught from them.

”Got death threats towards me and my kids from supporters of those two who Goff refused to hire a venue to. ”

How does she know that for a fact?

Ok, this isn’t good, but still….. I find it greatly *ironic* that a lefty MP complains about “death threats” when the lefties have blocked speakers who would have warned this country about an ideology that really *does* pose a massive threat to the West.

What I’m saying is – if Islam *did* manage to take over this country, Davidson would have a lot *more* to complain about. There would also be no-one for Davidson to complain to, and no-one to say to her “we told you so, but you wouldn’t listen……”.

    • Blocking speakers is a lot different to death threats against elected representatives and their children.

If the Russians or the Chines or the Americans or the Syrians or the Iraqis or whoever took over our country we’d all have a lot more to complain about, but there’s little point in worrying about something that’s extremely unlikely.

What if aliens took over? That’s a bit more unlikely, but if they *did* take over the country it could be a bit of a bugger.

Not necessarily. If they were nice aliens, it might be ok? They might do a better job of running it? Has there been any situation where this has happened & how did it work out?

Crikey, I’m caught. Apparently Truman met with aliens at Edwards Air Force base to discuss cooperation between the species.

Witnesses recognised Truman, and his diary showed he had a dentists appointed at the supposed time he was interacting with the aliens.

I think that she should repeat the threats. Some so-called death threats are very vague and don’t show the intention to do anything about actually killing the person. I wonder who’d be stupid enough to make a detailed genuine threat on Facebook.

Her claim would be more credible had she gone into detail.

    Fair comment, P.G.

I guess I was trying to say that I wonder if Davidson would be so keen to support the banning of Southern and Molyneux if she knew the nasty details of Islam. Things such as its condoning of wife-beating and pedophilia. Things like the Islamic texts saying that a woman has “half the intelligence of a man”, and that a man can have sex with his wife whenever *he* wishes.

I would love to see how she reconciled all of these things with her “PC” views.

    • The Christian bible can be as bad as the Koran in many ways. They are based on very old texts from a different era.

Condemning billions of people because of old stuff and a few thousand radical nutters is as bad as condemning all men or all white men or all English people (their ancestors did some abhorrent things).

This has next to no relevance to modern New Zealand and i think no place in it.

    • And it particularly has no relevance on a thread on death threats against an MP, unless you have proof the threats came from a person or people promoting a particular religion.

The views attributed to the Koran are a distortion, needless to say.

Me too. I’m not entirely convinced without seeing exactly what was said, but a police investigation could confirm it.

It’s a great way of “proving” how bad these two speakers must be.

I call fake unless verified by police.

    • Why call fake when you don’t know? Wouldn’t it be better to call it unknown either way until proven? If you have no evidence one way it’s nonsense to call it the opposite.

      • Grimm

         /  July 7, 2018

Because most things MPs say is fake until verified.

Particularly when she appears to be conflating things that aren’t proven to be connected.

And more so when it suits her agenda.

Gezza, it’s fair enough for you to call fake. It would a weird and lonely world though only believing what you think you know because you saw it or that you’d told yourself.

You might suggest I’m being ridiculous, that you do trust some people. Where do you draw the line then? At people called Marama? People in the Green Party? MPs? Women?

It would be fun living in a home with the mantra “I call fake unless verified by police” though.
Imagine the discussions with kids. The kids saying something and me saying “I call fake unless verified by police” or better still, them saying that to me whenever the circumstances suited them. 😊

“It would be fun living in a home with the mantra “I call fake unless verified by police”

        Strawman nonsense.

It’s a supposed death threat, not a minor issue.

I have told you before Grimm.
          You fail at logic.
No straw man he did not invent a position to argue against he created a hypothetical situation to point out the absurdness of your views.
