Winston Peters warning to Trump watchers
Acting PM doesn’t read or trust the US president’s tweets – and he’ll fire aides who do.

So not only is free speech out the door (thank Goff…not) but freedom of association as well. Tides in with PG’s posting at the loss of Liberal Democracy.

Is Winston Peters guilty of work place bullying?

Is he extending this into people private time on what they can and cannot interact or associate with?

If he deems Trumps tweets are false news (and am not saying they are not), how come he gets to read them and able to judge them on their worth…but his minions if they read and judge for themselves the tweets get fired?

Referencing Animal Farm…All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

      Peters better then his minions?

Also begs the question…if he does not read the Trump tweets how does he know they are fake news.

Peters head is in the sand…or where the sun don’t shine

“Ask yourself, what is a National Party policy? All I can think of is MORE TAX CUTS, and maybe FEWER ABORTIONS. But the anti-abortion policy is more Simon Bridges’ than National’s, and the tax cuts policy seems to have flown out the door because National keeps complaining that the Government isn’t spending enough money.

In the now infamous Radio Hauraki interview that Bridges did about Jacinda and Clarke’s daughter, he stressed that he didn’t hate wee Neve and then made jokes about gender fluidity and her picking up crazy ideas at university. It was not classy.

You may have loved or hated John Key but we all know he wouldn’t have made such an amateur mistake. He would have waxed lyrical about how he had fond memories of when he and Bronagh welcomed Stephie into the world and what a special time it would be for Jacinda and Clarke. He would have sent the Ardern Gayford family a present. He wouldn’t have made derogatory jokes about Neve or her parents.

And it’s starting to hurt. Labour’s internal polling has Labour three points ahead of
    National. ”

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12093806

Labour’s polling? When are the next lot of believable polls due out? And why do we have so few of them, done so infrequently?

“Labours internal polling” should be put up alongside Peters attitude to Trump tweets and probably fake news.

I’ve just found out I have been the subject of speculation at my local supermarket. Since the beginning of this year I have been buying 10 plastic bags regardless of how many items I purchase. I usually pop into my local after an early morning exercise session so I assume what would pass unnoticed during busier times is more obvious when bored checkout operators have nothing better to do than observe.

So I was asked why I have been buying so many plastic bags. I said I wanted as many as possible before they are banned. The checkout operator said Pak ‘n Save had no plans to ditch plastic bags. I said that will come.

And it has. Eugenie Sage confirmed yesterday an announcement regarding plastic bags is imminent. There are no prizes for guessing what that announcement will reveal.

There are no prizes for guessing what that announcement will reveal.
People identified as hoarders of plastic bags will be fined $10,000 from 1 January 2019 & their supply will be confiscated and used to make seat cushions for dogs.

        • Gezza

           /  July 24, 2018

That’s my first guess. I could be wrong. Sooner or later I’ll have to be, based on odds.

Another guess is that plastic supermarket bags will be banned.

Love taking the yellow pack and save bags into countdown to take groceries home.

Or the reusable black countdown bags into new world.

Apoplexy…from the supermarket staff is golden.

Reusable countdown bags are replaced for free so we change ours every time on account the old ones are dirty. Going to cost them a fortune if we all did that.

What I don’t understand is the now unfavourable plastic bags cannot have been availble because the retailer wanted to enhance your shopping experience. Must have been costed into your shop somehow.. Now haveing to pay for a resuable replacement..Does the cost structure remain for the plastics no longer available bag?

Just watched Winston Peters on TV1, he did very good but over on TV3 after Duncan G sacked Winston and started to become a brown Mike Hosking and became overtly rightwing he now gets no politician of any importance on.I feel our PM Jacinda Adern might also give the AM show a miss to.

Their 1st day back after a break. Sometimes worth a look to see what the Oppos have got to try their luck with, & there’s a bit of fun occasionally when Speaker Trev does his bun – but you’re right. I watch it less & less these days because it’s too depressing looking at the best our system could provide for our representatives in Government.

He’ll be hoping the poor govt and support for the National party will be enough to pull him through.

Plenty of time for him to be rolled though and something like that a year or so prior to the election could be enough to bump up support even further. Needs a centralist partner though so that remains an issue.
