I hate to say it but he has been ok, I think the nutters in Labour flatter him.

David’s right. He’s sided with a bunch of no-hopers that make him look good.

Speaking of mismanagement, which ministers do you rate highly at the moment?

Exactly. Not worth even trying. Not one Senior Cabinet Minister shows any clues or competence yet. With the possible exception of Robertson. And maybe Megan Woods. And Iain Lees-Galloway – in his Immigration portfolio – at least had the intelligence & guts to stand up the right of free speech. They are a dismal crew.

Robertson only looks competent because he has largely chosen to say very little. No doubt still stunned to find a multi-billion $ hole did indeed exist.

To be fair – Joyce took the opposite tack. He never shut up so people wouldn’t notice the holes in his.

And, according this Heraldo media release/article they’re not too unhappy about it either Zedd, having, as they say, “dodged a bullet” …

‘National Party President Peter Goodfellow: National dodged a ‘whisky-swilling’ bullet in Winston Peters’

          https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12097023

“Speaking at the National Party conference, Goodfellow said that in hindsight National had a lucky escape in Peters’ decision to side with Labour after the election last year …

Senior MP Nick Smith later echoed Goodfellow’s sentiments, saying his worst time in politics was when he was around the Cabinet table with Peters in the 1990s.”

Well, firstly, you’d never know they felt that way considering how they’ve been whining on like thwarted children all this time …

And secondly … Man, things must’ve been really bad around that Cabinet table, huh?

National trying to work with another not too dissimilar Party … Whereas, to the everlasting consternation of many Righties, they appeared to work well with and made many, many concessions to The Maori Party … Go figure!
