Some recent highlights from my favourite Twitter account Hourly Wolves: https://twitter.com/hourlywolvesbot
It posts a wolf photograph every hour. I could look at this stuff all day.

    • I wish that I could do more than one uptick.

Have you seen the video about the wolves being reintroduced to (Yosemite ?) and the difference it has made there ? It’s astonishing that a few wooliffs have regenerated an entire national park.

      • My mistake, it’s Yellowstone park.

Yes I’ve seen that; I was amazed. Sadly there are many individuals and even organised groups who are still trying to eradicate wolves in the U.S. In Idaho, particularly, I think.

        • Murderers. Shortsighted murderers. I can’t remember where the wannabe lupicides are, I read about them in Bill Bryson, I think.

I was astonished at the Yellowstone story, too. So few animals making such a difference…the people who did it must be pinching themselves in case it’s all a dream.

          • What people with no computers miss…it’s not remotely like actually seeing wolves, but as the chances of my doing so are non-existent unless some are in a zoo here. I am glad to see the Hourly Wolves.

  2. Local pooks are becoming more and more brazen every day. I saw two pooksters turning over the contents of a rubbish bag that they had opened (letting dogs be blamed) as if they were unimpressed with them and had expected better….two enormous ones strolled right in front of me. I have never seen such big ones before, they are a fine sight. Another one had helped itself to something from someone’s lunch as the person was admiring the new spring growth and was sauntering away with it.

If they are seeing you frequently & you don’t approach them they will probably get used to you & come a little closer over time. This is what mine were like. I think they’ll be very wary of the dog tho.

(dog smirks at the thought of the pooks being afraid of him)
