Apparently undocumented illegal Polish workers were used to demolish the Bonwit Teller Building on Fifth Avenue to make way for the Trump Tower.

ThenTrump to save money demolished a historical building using illegal immigrants. Now he wants to deport illegal immigrants and preserve historical Confederate Statues.

When one reads the article there is a distinct lack of pinning the illegal Polish employment to Trump. If here was the headline and article context would be different.

The demolition contractor (Mr Kaszycki) was the employer, not Trump. Possibly Trump settled the law suit for the measly $1.3M to get clear of the problem? A tiny settlement agreed to by the litigants as well as Trump.

Interestingly the workers gained very little from the law suit

“The documents show that Mr. Trump paid a total of $1.375 million to settle the case, known as Hardy v. Kaszycki, with $500,000 of it going to a union benefits fund and the rest to pay lawyers’ fees and expenses.”

Winners were the lawyers (as always), and they possibly settled for the biggest possibly paycheck as the case was very flimsy.

      Teflon Don…nothing sticks.

Four years of trying…still nothing sticks.

      Six more years…for Trump.

So much for the much-hyped economic miracle of trumpism. Latest figures show that economic growth and changes to the tax regime haven’t translated into greater prosperity for the middle and working classes.

The US Labor Dept reports that the cost of living was up 2.9% from July 2017 to July 2018, an inflation rate that’s higher than the 2.7% increase in wages over the same period. The average U.S. “real wage,” a federal measure of pay that takes inflation into account, fell to $10.76 an hour last month, which is actually lower than it was a year ago.

That cartoon sums up what I have been saying. Once Trumpy gets the boot – media, his own party and the Democrats will realise they have been living on ” Trump adrenaline ” The cold turkey that ensues after he’s gone is going to be a hoot to watch…except for the poor smuck who takes his place believing he’s got nothing to worry about because anything is better than Tump…right?
