Is this the future of Australia?

Some people and groups of people try to take things too far.

And some people and groups of people over-react.

There’s no way the Aussies can take away our ANZAC Day.

      The Pathetic Moaners’ job ?

Do you think that that is a real campaign video or someone taking the mickey ?

Surely no party could put something like that out and expect it to be taken seriously !

      Blimmin’ funny, though.

It’s so ridiculous that it defeats the object of the exercise. Are you sure that it’s not a satire ?

I think it’s a very good campaign video. The only thing wrong is timing. Fast forward 50 years and it’ll be quite relevant. Of course by then it”ll be too late. However, Mr Amos will have time to ruminate about such issues in his old age. Ah, yes…Australia as it used to be before Muslims and Chinese fought over ultimate control of the promised land.

As many of those things (Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Easter, super heroes, Thomas, Pooh etc) aren’t Australian anyway, what’s she whingeing about ?

Gezza, don’t make personal remarks about someone’s appearance. Mrs Hanson can’t help looking like that.

People can do that now, it’s setting up straw men to say that they can’t. The whole thing is arrant nonsense and scaremongering. Thank goodness it makes itself look ridiculous with these absurd claims. It’s hard to imagine anyone with any sense taking this rubbish seriously.

Are you thick or something, Kitty? Did you read my post? I guess not.

You seriously need to stop trolling and start posting something that’s coherent.

Here, let me help you out. From my post:

              Dunning-Kruger effect

In the field of psychology, the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people of low ability have illusory superiority and mistakenly assess their cognitive ability as greater than it is.

I said that the PDT(s) took this stuff seriously. I didn’t name names; PDTs are anonymous.I think that I now know who one was.

            • Corky

               /  August 15, 2018

OK..let’s here it then. Name the person. They aren’t anonymous to you or me.

            • Kitty Catkin

               /  August 15, 2018

Oh spare me. How can anyone know ? There’s no way of knowing who downticks unless they say so. Of course they’re anonymous except to themselves.

            • Kitty Catkin

               /  August 15, 2018

I said that these were not Australian things, and they are not.

You responded with a straw man argument.

I gave a reasoned answer, to which you responded with abuse because someone dared to disagree with your ideas.

This is not trolling, of course; it’s only trolling when someone has the temerity to expose the fallacy of your statements. How dare anyone disagree with YOU ?

Then I made a remark about the PDT, which was not an insinuation at all, it was a simple statement. If you were the PDT, I couldn’t know it any more than anyone else could. If it was you, too bad.

            • Corky

               /  August 15, 2018

”I said that these were not Australian things, and they are not.”

              I never disputed that fact.

”You responded with a straw man argument.People can do that now, it’s setting up straw men to say that they can’t.”

There is no strawman argument. I’m not disagreeing with you.

To repeat. This is my opinion:

”I think it’s a very good campaign video. The only thing wrong is timing. Fast forward 50 years and it’ll be quite relevant. ”

Let’s add this from another of my posts:

”The right to celebrate and enjoy them without having to worry about causing offence to someone.” Nowhere have I said they can’t celebrate.

So, of course you are trolling…or obfuscating because you lack a cogent argument. Or you genuinely don’t understand. It’s one of those.

            • Kitty Catkin

               /  August 16, 2018

None of those; that’s straw man logic.

If you can’t bear to be disagreed with, that’s your problem.

Now run along, little man, and let the adults talk.

    Muslims are 2.6 %

More than the Jews in pre-Holocaust Germany were, of course, but the same sort of paranoia was around and milked by the scaremongers. Vilfying a minority is an old, old game. Blame them for your own prejudices so as to make them seem bigoted, not you.
You are opposed to Christmas, but haven’t the guts to say so, so make it seem as if Jews and Muslims are demanding that decorations and festivities be stopped.

The newOne Nation member of parliament who used the words ‘Final Solution’ cannot possibly be unaware of what they meant. Nobody could. If he is that stupid and uneducated, he shouldn’t be there.

Waiting to see whether our government gets asked at some point to consider recognising polygamous marriages in certain religio-cultural situations – with sociologists arguing some people these days are effectively in polygamous-type relationships anyway, so why not?
