Media Watch is a focus on New Zealand media, blogs and social media. You can post any items of interested related to media.

A primary aim here is to hold media to account in the political arena. A credible and questioning media is an essential part of a healthy democracy.

A general guideline – post opinion on or excerpts from and links to blog posts or comments of interest, whether they are praise, criticism, pointing out issues or sharing useful information.

    Kim Hill took on Nigel Farage. She claimed that the result would got the other way with hindsight (without evidence). Nigel denied it. She also tried the trick used on peterson: “how do you feel about having alt-right supporters? etc, etc. The interview was more about Kim Hills biases that Nigel Farage.

    When do we see/hear the Douglass Murray and [what’s his handle?] debate. On RNZ Facebook they are arguing that this one wouldn’t be stopped because those other two were sooo bad: exhibit A the twitter feed from the left-wing genius at the event,.

    Just finished watching Beneath New Zealand – a superb hour long doco on NZ’s seismic history, causes and effects of our biggest earthquakes, state of current knowledge and technology, quake resistant building technology etc. Very thorough. Several seismologists presenting – m&f – excellent computer graphics. NZ On Air well done.
