Someone can correct me if I’m wrong. I caught the tail end of an interview with Andy, who had just returned from a ” Five Eyes Meeting.” It was reported between 30-40 people are under surveillance in NZ for computer use that promotes and supports terrorism.

Using Trevor Philips stats I worked out New Zealand has One Thousand people who support terrorist acts, or may, given a chance, participate in terrorist acts.

I wonder if these people under surveillance are just fall guy conjugates for a wider community of terrorist supporters who remain unknown to authorities? Surely these types of people must have learnt from the mistakes of others?

Clean cut Muslim charged with terror offences. He’s in Australia on student visa. He’s a carbon copy of the type of person who will perpetrate our first terrorist attack.

Take home point: No criminal record. Not known to the police. So how did he become known to the police? My guess is( given his travel) one of his contacts in Australia made a slip up, either in Aussie or overseas. How many other unknowns are in the country?

What the..Imran Khan was once married to an Infidel ( did she convert?). He was at ease in the West. Now it looks like he’s reverted to what MAY have been his original nature.. a true believer in stoneage Islam. Did he practice taqiyya?

Stale news, he was married to Jemima Goldsmith, who’s Jewish. it was widely publicised, hardly a great revelation now.

You have a very odd idea about Stone Age.means.

Good point. Islam is Medieval. Judaism is Bronze Age & Christianity is Iron Age.

Pearls before swine; Corky is unlikely to have heard of any of these,

His statement that Islam is Stone Age is absurd whether it was meant literally (which is all too possible, alas ) or the cliched & unimaginative insult that ‘stone age’ (sic) has become for people who can’t think of anything more original.

”Stale news, he was married to Jemima Goldsmith, who’s Jewish. it was widely publicised, hardly a great revelation now.”

There seems to be a disconnect somewhere in that mind of yours. My post had nothing to do with Khan and his marriage to Jemina. Hence my use of the past tense:

”What the..Imran Khan was once married to an Infidel ( did she convert?)”

So, yeah, I kind of get it’s very old news.

”You have a very odd idea about Stone Age.means.”

Sorry, I forgot, if it ain’t literal, you can’t imagine what I and most people mean.

Anyway, after your inane prattle… wasn’t it you ( or Blazer) yesterday who was berating me for posting about terrorism in Australia?

‘What the…..’ implies that it’s news to the speaker. As does ‘did she convert ?’ My bet is that it’s the first you’d heard of it. Otherwise you wouldn’t bother to mention such an old story that everyone but you knows.

That lie about being literal-minded is still a lie when it’s repeated ad nauseam. A lie repeated doesn’t become true. It’s also old and tired and shows a distinct lack of perception and imagination; not that these are to be expected of such a limited mind as yours. Small things amuse small minds, but they bore those whose outlook is less limited.

The Stone Age was a historical era (you may not have known this) and was long, long before Islam., Judaism and Christianity. May I suggest that you do a little reading of history, as you seem to have so little knowledge of it ? Or were you trying to be offensive ?

Your memory must be going if you have such a confused memory of something that only happened yesterday. and have to ask. How sad, but I suppose that this happens with old age .

Stone age is a cultural attainment.
It is a state of civilization before metal working.
Polynesia was stone age until discovered by Western civilizations explorers that brought metal artifacts.
Maori were in the stone age until Cooks voyages in 1769-70.

Well, yes, but the way that Corky uses it is meaningless. I wonder if he knows what it means, and suspect not. People like that use it as a lazy insult, with no idea of what they are talking about.

What a load of crap. Proof once again what you read…and what your brain understands are two different things. Anyone over 50 who doesn’t know Kahn married Jemima obviously has lived in a cave.

How to solve rush hour ttaffic jams but can you persuade young males and other lane changers? Slowing down and leaving a 40m gap between vehicles reduces braking which stops a wave of braking flowing back.

Get home or to work quicker by driving slower, leaving a gap and not lane changing courtesy of a Japanese mathmetician.

Just leaving a sensible gap and making sensible not last seconds lane changes would do it. Self-driving cars will eventually achieve it.

Self driving cars will need to be able to interact with human driven cars. Something they will need to be able to do for at least another 20 years.

Problem with the 40 metre gap is where we have on ramps. As people enter the motorway the gap has to widen between you and the preceding car from 40 to 80 metres. Meaning a braking ripple effect as a stream of cars enter the motorway. In reverse an acceleration gap (with corresponding braking to achieve the 40 metres again) as cars leave the system and open up an 80 metre gap.

Ad dto that the chonke points where three lanes merge into two where you will end up with a bottle neck as people have to brake to keep a 40 metre gap between merging traffic.

Quite why on the South Western there are 3 to 2 lane choke point before and after the southern end of the Waterview tunnel, plus another southbound under the Hillsborough road overbridge. Makes mockery of preventing traffic jams and makes a 40 metre gap impractical.

Biggest choke poiunt on the Southern is the Mt Wellington overbridge leading to and from TipTop corner. Why are the choke points there and not removed?

The point about self-driving cars isn’t “choke points” but joke points …

The biggest joke point is self-driving cars. It ain’t gonna happen … mark my words.

The only way self-driving cars will ever work is if they’re towed by ‘engines’ and called “trains” …

Can’t be done in Auckland – leave a decent gap and you get cars piling in-between to the point where you almost go backwards.

I did post a clip yesterday to help people in your situation turn their life around and make some money. Refer to yesterdays Open Forum. Rightwingers aren’t ferals.. they just stopped blaming the world for their problems and did something about it. They don’t play the ”it ain’t fair game.”

I’d say that anyone that stupid deserves to be conned.

Just talking to a friend today who was having trouble with the stairs up to his bedroom and needed a lift. Got quoted anything 40 to $80k plus all sorts of crap about council consents and strengthening floors and piles.

Decided to DIY and built it himself for $1500 working fine. (I think he has a few buresucrat carcasses hanging on his fence too.)
