China is trying to assert its claimed sovereignty in the Paracel Islands again.

This time the UK is the target as the HMS Albion transited international waters close to the Paracel Islands.

The Labour Party NEC have formally adopted the full IHRA definition of anti-semitism including all 11 examples, however, it has been qualified with a statement by the NEC that says “this will not in any way undermine freedom of expression on Israel or the rights of Palestinians”.

There was some controversy as the NEC reportedly rejected a more extensive statement proposed by Jeremy Corbyn stating “it should not be considered anti-Semitic to describe Israel, its policies or the circumstances around its foundation as racist because of their discriminatory impact, or to support another settlement of the Israel-Palestine conflict”.

A day after this someone (or a group) have been fly posting some bus stops in London with ‘Israel is a Racist Endeavour’ posters. These have been put up behind the glass on the bus shelters indicating someone managed to get a key to the advertising board. TFL, the Mayor, and the advertising company have all condemned the posters, and as soon as they were aware the advertising company and TFL removed the posters. However they weren’t removed before the images were shared on twitter.

Labour’s response to this when asked was just to state that they weren’t put up by the Labour Party, no condemnation of the posters themselves.

There is criticism of the posters on social media with many suggesting that Corbyn’s lack of leadership on anti-semitism has created the environment that has allowed it to flourish and to make anti-semites feel emboldened to be more direct about it.

Given the destruction of homes & expulsions of Palstinians now underway in the Jordan Valley & recent declarations by Israel, Israel IS a racist endeavour: it is now officially its own version of an apartheid state. So those posters are correct.

Many saying these posters are correct, (and not condemning them), would say that posters calling Pakistan a racist endeavour were Islamaphobic, and they would never be allowed, and they would probably be called incorrect, but these posters are okay because they are about Israel and not the Muslims.

There is a growing boldness with the anti-semites in the UK, most of it from the supporters of Jeremy Corbyn as his lack of action and strong condemnation has given them tacit approval for them to spout their bigotry.

Whatever anyone’s views on Israel, in the current anti-semitic climate in the UK, and in London in particular, these are not okay, they are just leading to more racial hatred as many are not distinguishing between Israel and Jews, there is a lot of conflation from some of the more hard left between the Jewish population and the idea of Israel, that is evidenced by Jews constantly being referred to as Israeli apologists, often when they have not even mentioned Israel, just on the basis of them being Jewish.

To support these posters is to be complicit with the growing anti-semitism in the UK.

That is an unacceptable smokescreen for what the Zionist regime is now up to in Israel, emboldened by the odious Trump & Netanyahu alliance. Israel deliberately provokes the fundamentalist Hamas & Islamic Jihad elements to further its demonisation of Palestinians & distract from its accelerated seizures of more & more Palestinian land.

Israeli court rules to demolish Khan al-Ahmar village
Home to 180 Palestinians, village’s demolition expected soon by Israeli army as rights groups denounce move.

Palestinians and rights groups condemned a decision by an Israeli court to demolish a Bedouin village in the occupied West Bank, forcibly evicting its 180 residents.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Palestinian Authority said the decision to raze Khan al-Ahmar village consolidates Israel’s “colonial project” of building “an arc of settlements” that effectively cut off occupied East Jerusalem from the rest of the West Bank.

“This illegal decision uncovers the colonial DNA of Israel’s institutions that work to confiscate Palestinian lands … effectively alienating it from the West Bank and killing any hopes for a future contiguous Palestinian state,” it said.

Aljazeera TV showed Russian UN ambassador Vassily Nebenza at UN Security Council meeting accusing UK of anti-Russian hysteria & of attempting to whip up anti-Russian among other countries. Noted that Iulia Skripof is being denied Russian consular contact & the refusal of UK to cooperate with a Russian investigation into the poisoning. Used Russia’s veto against UK.

Not surprised Russia used their veto, however, most of the rest of what they have said is Rubbish.

Yulia Skripal has not been denied Russian Consular Contact, she has consistently refused to see anyone from the Embassy, as with any foreign national the UK authorities offered her to see someone from the Embassy if she wished, she did not, the Russians are just throwing a tantrum that they cannot get to her and her father to finish them off.

On the refusal to cooperate with the Russian investigation, that is legitimate. That would be like the police letting a murder suspect help them investigate the murder. Ridiculous to suggest that the UK hand over all of their evidence and how they obtained it (as Russia wanted) whilst they were still investigating, if Russia knew what evidence they had they could have worked harder to cover themselves.

The Russians are being over sensitive and peddling a lot of nutty conspiracy theories – at least one of which I note Blazer has bought into hook, line, and sinker, guess they are relying on their useful idiots to try and undermine the UK case.

I am a bit worried about your understanding here Blazer, you do understand a person can only be killed once right? There is no way a person can be killed again (i.e.: more than once). So I would say it is a physical impossibility for the Russians to kill them again, they just want to kill them.

Yes, ask random questions, some of which have already been answered – such as why people didn’t get sick in the hotel room, and the customs photo one, and some of which are probably known but not released and then cry conspiracy.

The article asks questions but it really doesn’t poke any holes in the narrative at all. More just pointing out the article writer is not involved in the investigation and doesn’t have all the facts..

            And the poisoning timing:

[Sergei’s BMW] was spotted in the city at about 9.15am on the Sunday. It was seen heading from the area where he lived towards the city again at 1.30pm and Sergei and Yulia arrived at the Maltings car park in the city centre at 1.40pm. It may be that when the suspects applied novichok to his front door, he and Yulia were at home.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova went on national television Wednesday evening and said the security camera footage of the two suspects arriving at Gatwick Airport released by the British authorities had been doctored because it shows them at the same time in the same place. A closer look, however, shows that the men were walking in different gate corridors.

US: 4 killed in Cincinatti bank shooting, including gunman

Multiple police officers engaged shooter in Cincinatti after he opened fire on civilians in a downtown bank.

Cincinatti Police Chief Elliot Isaac told reporters the shooter opened fire at the loading dock of the building before entering the bank’s lobby where he continued his rampage.

Isaac was quoted as saying there “was an exchange of gunfire between our officers and the suspect”. He was unable to confirm whether the shooter was killed by police or ended his own life.

The shooter’s identity or motive were not released.

Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley said the gunman was “actively shooting innocent victims” and it was a “horrific” scene. He offered “thoughts and prayers” to the victims’ families.

Misleading headline from Stuff. He says (rightly) that Putin bears ultimate responsibility, which is correct. Agents from one of Russia’s intelligence agencies carried out the attack, that makes it a state sponsored attack and therefore the President bears ultimate responsibility for his agencies. Stuff’s headline makes it appear as though he said that Putin did it. No wonder people are losing faith in the media.

Syria’s war: Drones crowd Idlib skies as province awaits battle
After deadly air strikes on Tuesday, Idlib residents report heavy presence of suspected Russian reconnaissance drones.

Warplanes hit residential areas in Jisr al-Shughur on Tuesday, killing 10 people, sources told Al Jazeera

A tense calm has taken hold of the town of Jisr al-Shoghur in northwestern Idlib province after days of bombing and shelling by forces loyal to the government of President Bashar al-Assad.

Residents on Wednesday reported that the shelling and air raids had stopped but a number of reconnaissance drones were flying above the town and surrounding areas.

On Tuesday, Russian and Syrian jets bombed the town and its outskirts, killing 10 civilians and injuring 20 others, Abu al-Fadl Ahmad, a member of the White Helmets, a civil defence organisation, told Al Jazeera.

Turkey, Russia, Iran leaders meet in Tehran over Idlib

Rebuilding Syria will top the agenda when leaders from Iran, Russia and Turkey meet in 24 hours.

Leaders of Iran, Russia and Turkey are due to meet in Tehran on Friday, with Syria high on their agenda.

Of the three countries due to meet in Tehran, Turkey is the only one hosting large numbers of Syrian refugees.

Ankara supports some of the armed fighters in Idlib and is worried a military solution will mean more displaced civilians.

Everybody’s Special Forces are the best. Especially if they’re either one’s own country’s or one’s favourite because, eg they’re the most brutal, & that just appeals to sociopaths & psychopaths. But you rarely if ever see Special Forces in combat with each other, so I don’t think you have a true basis for comparison.

I base my opinion not on supposed brutality, swagger or kit. Russian SFs from what I understand aren’t nearly as well kitted as Americans – for example the American Wasp Knife.

My opinion is based on the fact, like many Russian sciences, they have evolved in a different way. Because Russia has know constant martial struggle they have evolved a unique way of fighting. They have taken the basic human unit and worked on psychological and physiological conditioning. To numerous to post here. I use their burst-breath breathing when exercising, pore breathing for healing. Their relaxed movement and fighting is the complete opposite of Americans who’ve lost their WW2 heritage of CQB and gone down the path of Brazilian Jujitsu and relying on gadgets.

As you can see, my posts may seem simple. but they aren’t really.

              “Most Well Trained”

I have no idea how anyone actually measures this.

One of the guys I served with went on to a phd in international relations and learned several languages, as well as a couple of other significant qualifications on communication systems.

Yet that exceptionally well trained solider doesn’t serve in a unit you listed. How strange.

US Rangers are not really ‘special’ forces, they are infantry who have done a 60 day course. The ranger tab is kind of a prerequisite (along with jump wings) for stars.

            “American Wasp Knife”

The primary uses I had for a knife was opening MRE’s and leaving ammo boxes open. As much as I like well made knives, I’m not convinced a $500 one is worth it when the chance of losing the damn thing is so high.

“WW2 heritage of CQB and gone down the path of Brazilian Jujitsu and relying on gadgets”

As a weapon, I had a strong preference to something with more stand-off, ideally about 500km. Jujitsu is for fighting Navy guys in the bars.
