        Dear Auntie Possum

Jurassic Park feet, yourself. You humans can’t walk up trees with YOUR feet.

              Dear Auntie Possum

Pooks can walk on their feet and also use them the way humans use their hands, like for picking up food and eating it. You poor humans need two things to do what we can do with one.

We don’t need hands, so we have wings where you have arms, and we can fly with them. And our clothes are there when we’re born and they grow with us…life is much simpler for us pooks.

Thank you aunties. This one has good enuf resolution to watch on full screen – I’m pretty pleased with it. Not too bad for a hand-held cellcam. It was a special feeling. I was just down the bank in the sun looking for Eli and there were no pooks around in the vicinity when Sweety came along chatting to me,

I just sat down where I was & then Bluey came down from upstream and all that scene started to unfold. And I suddenly thought: “I should be videoing this – this is really lovely. It’s such a beautiful and they’re all so relaxed. There might be a couple of my favourite posters of the female persuasion who’d like to feel like they were there …” 😉

They kept young Alex, the new pooklet, out of sight, even from me, but I spotted Alex across the bank with Bluey when I came back up. Pity the cellcam only has a x4 zoom. Alex is safer over there because Socrates, a recently arrived local teenage cat, is a determined young hunter and goes after the birds -a threat not present when Pickles and Jojo were small.

A very beautiful tabby cat with striking markings visited today. It wasn’t striped so much as banded with wide spaces between the light bands. What a beauty. I don’t ever remember seeing one like that before.

“Alex” is a fine name for a Pooklet and can be lengthened as said Pooklet lengthens.

          My mood today:

Me too, snowy – I was up all night putting all those vid clips together. And I wasn’t happy with the finished one, and had to start all over again from scratch. I’ve been asleep most of the blimmin day. 😳

Snowf; do crop that and use it as an avatar. Wolves are very beautiful; in NZ, we are very short of lovely native animals.

Cheap Trick’s album ‘Dream Police’ released this day in 1979…last I heard three of the founding members were still touring.
