Collins versus Swarbrick

Judith Collins made another unfathomably bad taste tweet attack again today, and Green MP Chloe Swarbrick was one prepared to call her out for it.

A reprehensible crime punished with a sizeable prison sentence, but a reprehensible response from Collins:

Swarbrick stood up to Collins:

A poor look for Collins, and Swarbrick shows more maturity than most MPs.

What is actually “reprehensible, disrespectful and distasteful” is Member of Parliament in Swarbrick advocating for this abusive scumbag.

One can’t “end domestic violence” unless one first attributes appropriate accountability.

On Planet Green, no-one seems to be accountable for ANYTHING!

Collins over-cooked this one, and the one before it. She’s blown a gasket and only likely to pick up support from the likes of…Steven. Chloe is showing some commendable spine, taking on the Crusher, almost as if she’s not phased by her at all…

Cool shade, chur ? How articulate and mature that sounds.

Do you know what it means, Kitty?

        Phased or fazed ?

She fails to mention HOW domestic violence will be ended. It has been going on forever and will probably keep on doing so.

          “She fails to mention…” it’s a ….tweet.

It means very little, like many jargonistic catch phrases and is not what one expects from an MP and an adult. She’s not a teenager now, she should speak like an adult and be intelligible.

We have come a long way kitty .
It was only in 1985 that marital rape became a crime.
Once if a woman complained about violence the cops would ignore it unless she was near dead .
She walked into a door knob is no longer acceptable .
Now just a complaint without evidence will get a man locked up for the night.
It some ways the pendulum may have swung to far there are woman who use the present laws as a weapon against men. I know of a case where a man rang the cops because a woman was behaving violently and he ended up the one arrested even though she had assaulted him.
He ended up with a restraining order issued against him for access to his own house.
I think we need to make sure that any women who does misuse such laws is treated harshly by the courts.

A New York policeman whose wife assaulted him and their child was sacked ! The NYPD has zero tolerance for domestic violence….too bad if you’re the victim.

It’s usual for the male victim to be removed and given a restraining order.

In the past, a woman could charge her husband with violence, but she had to lay the charge with the police. Now the police do it for her…this does rather infantilise women.

When I was in an accident and had broken ribs, two black eyes and a cut on my chin that left a scar. No prizes for guessing what people thought.

    Steven ole chap,
Chloe said … “Cool Shade chur “….
my understanding of it means ….

to throw shade: to talk trash about a friend or acquaintance, to publicly denounce or disrespect.

I thought she meant ……throwing shade on the labour Party again Judy
she wasn’t sticking up for the fucked young man.

Chloe said …”Let’s focus on ending domestic violence”,
not scoring weak and sad political points.

IMHO when Chloe said ….”This is so reprehensible, disrespectful and distasteful, Judith.”
Did she mean using this despicable criminal to score brownies from her loyalists,
In some circles Chur means REALLY!!!!!!

When throwing shade it’s immediately obvious to on-lookers that the thrower, and not the throwee, is the bitchy, uncool one.

Chloe is NOT advocating for men to carry on domestic violence. DH
But you on the other hand are throwing shade on Chloe Swarbrick.

”A reprehensible crime punished with a sizeable prison sentence, but a reprehensible response from Collins:”

The sentence in reality is roughly four years with good behaviour. He’d do way bigger time in the States.

Yes, that was my reaction when I read the court report. This monster shouldn’t be let out until he is safe. I don’t see four years or even eight as guaranteeing that.

And Swarbrick’s party wanted to scrap the three strikes law didn’t they? Not much moral high ground there then.

Bingo. Was going to say the same thing. He won’t do seven years and 9 months.

Coffin – a patched Mongrel Mob member affiliated to the King Country chapter
      Colour me surprised.

But Judith’s made a silly, snide prat of herself again. Judges determine sentences. Not the government.

It’s a joint effort. Judges apply the law the Govt made.

I thought Judges “interpret” the laws the Pollies made?

Collins, Bridges et. al. have clearly been getting cringeworthy advice recently. If you can no longer afford Crosby Textor, do you end up with…Hooton??
