  1. She speaks well enough. I don’t know who writes her speeches.

It is standard for the Royal Family to speak some of the language of whatever country they are in. All the Royals have usually begun their speeches in Maori when in NZ. Not something to gush over really.

English in Fiji…amazing transformation from actress to ‘expert’ opinion on …everything by dint of marrying carrot top.

The monarchy could have had your head for that a while back, Blazer.
I would have come along with my knitting for the spectacle.

Of course she speaks well, she was an actress in her former life, unlike most of the royals she had a real job and consequently can “do” speeches easily unlike them whose efforts from the Queen down are uniformly awful.

Not sure she would have one person writing her speeches unless it is her private secretary who does that – or rather Prince Harry’s PS. I would have thought for this one it was either the NZ Government, or more likely someone at the British High Commission who wrote it, but working off a series of briefing notes from Kensington Palace, with the Palace and the Duchess finalising the speech and approving it.

        More FAKE NEWS from Corky..

as I said recently; some believe Adolph did not call for the ‘Final Solution’ BUT all HIS ‘Hate speech’ inspired others to action it ‘on his behalf’ ?

MrT is sounding a bit similar !

‘Some believe Adolph did not call for the ‘Final Solution’ ”

But by default Hitler was responsible for the final solution.

Equating Trump with Hitler means you don’t get it. That is further confirmed by your inability to understand individual responsibility and free choice.

I’m beginning to see a divide here…. an insight into why liberals always stuff things up.

Interesting commentary from a guy who just drove coast to coast in the US: https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2018-10-26/road-trip-america-takes-us-beyond-news-media-politics?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&cmpid=socialflow-facebook-business&utm_campaign=socialflow-organic&utm_content=business

Now that I’m back in New York and my media diet is back to more or less normal, the sense of calm, remove and, yes, optimism that pervaded my long days of driving has begun to dissipate. Maybe this just means I’m returning to the real world after an escapist journey. But I also wonder if it’s an indication that my normal media diet — even though it’s mostly free of such known toxins as Facebook and cable TV news, and heavy on old books — is driving me a little nuts.
