  • Please don’t post anything illegal, potentially defamatory or abusive.

FIRST TIME COMMENTERS: Due to abuse by a few, first comments under any ID will park in moderation until released (as soon as possible but it can sometimes take a while).

Sometimes comments will go into moderation or spam automatically due to mistyped ID, too many links (>4), or trigger text or other at risk criteria.

You nailed it, Dave. The real world is way different to hallow halls of academia.

Failed execution follows failed policy. Labour failed to recognise let alone tackle the cause of expensive housing and simply threw taxpayers money at it

The cyber crime initiative seems simply to be a crusade against something small businesses don’t regard as a priority.

as usual National created the problem…and kicked the can down the road…whilst some of their main actors…cashed…up.

Why do you persist with lies that you know are lies, B? You’ve been shown often enough that the house price explosion happened when the Clark government took over.

Capella Consulting should just get on with business instead of waiting for tacit gummint support.

Wynyard was a listed company that specialised in cyber security…shareholders promised the earth and delivered a bowl of…steam.
      Directors did nicely…thanks..all done..

The sad state of the liberal West. The sadder state of police who seem lost as to their purpose and culture.

That is an over-reaction to a single event in one place. One parade is not the whole West.

Just listened to a commentator from Australia re the terrorist attack.

1- 300 people in the state of Victoria are on a terrorist watch list.

Each of these people must know at least one other person sympathetic to the call of jihad.
Police cannot monitor 300 people. What chance have they of watching 600?

2- The man murdered had just become a grandfather.

Oh well, such is life. So sad. Must be hard on his family. And to think he was trying to help the offender.

3- Most people witnessing the event just pulled out their cellphones to record.

Thick pricks..the prick with the knife wanted to destroy their society. And they take pictures of him?

4- People are disagreeing with the Aussie PM for calling out radical Islam.

    Honestly…What can you say?

You seem to have found plenty to say !

Recording the event must a great help to the police. I saw a girl doing this when a man was being assaulted and three rescuers had to cross the street so couldn’t get there immediately. When the police arrived, she handed her phone over to them. I hastily wrote down what I’d seen and heard, but she took a useful video.

These witnesses will have valuable close-up records of the killing. It’s like you to think the worst, of course,

As the holder of a Resident Visa or a Permanent Resident Visa, you can be deported for the following reasons:

Committing crimes – if you’re convicted, whether in New Zealand or another country, of committing a criminal offence, but only if
it’s an offence for which you could have been jailed for three months or more, and
you committed the offence while you were in New Zealand unlawfully, or while you held a Temporary Visa, or during the first two years of your residence
Breaching visa conditions – if you’ve breached any of the conditions of your visa (for example, it might have been a condition of a Resident Visa under the Skilled Migrant Category that you accept an offer of skilled employment within three months)
Fraud, forgery, misinformation – if Immigration New Zealand find out you gave them false, fraudulent, forged or misleading information, or that you held back relevant information, when you applied for your visa
False identity – if you’re holding your visa under a false identity
New character information – if, within five years after you obtained your first Resident Visa, Immigration NZ gets new information about your “character” that existed at the time they granted you the visa and that would have disqualified you from getting the visa had they known about it
Mistakes (“administrative error”) – if Immigration NZ granted your visa by mistake (for example, if you shouldn’t have been given a visa in the first place because your criminal record legally disqualified you)
Security risk – if you’re a current threat to New Zealand’s defence or security, including security against terrorism, spying and organised crime (but this requires a certificate from the Minister of Immigration and an Order in Council from the government).

Good work, Blazer. Can you pass this on to that Minister of Immigration dude. Maybe help him out with any points he’s not too sure about.

This guy should never, ever, show up at a Libertarian piss-up. Not that I think he’d want too.
A Jeremy Corbyn barbi, held in conjunction with a Venezuelan supermarket, would be more his style.

Why draw attention to Schwartz and his message then Corky?

Could it be that even you don’t believe we need to have stores which stock the components to assemble 6.5 million different stereo systems?

He’s talking about the very old-fashioned conservatism you seem to fondly recall and desire a return to …?

“Things were better back when things were worse”

“The secret to happiness is LOW EXPECTATIONS”

“Income redistribution will make everyone better off … not just poor people”

      Scary huh!?

”Why draw attention to Schwartz and his message then, Corky?”

Why indeed? I don’t like philosophical speculators who think they have found nirvana because they have set out their argument with cool logical progression.

He should save his speech for logical beings. I’m satisfied with 6.5 million different stereo systems…and I’m quite capable of making decisions, no matter how hard they sometimes are.
