  2. Whale Oil seems to be up and running again today after encountering major technical issues yesterday, although there still seems to be minor technical issues. They didn’t explain much about what went wrong.

    One interesting comment from ‘Nige’:

If you want to know what’s going on during these things be sure to friend cam on Sookbook.

Even though Cam is too busy to write anything, I write on his walk for all to see.

He refers to Facebook, and I think means “I write on his wall”.

So two weeks after Slater suddenly disappeared from Whale Oil after being very active on behalf of Jami-Lee Ross for a couple of weeks, they are still not being up front about his absence.

SB sort of implies he is still involved in her meat marketing.

It seems unlikely that Slater very suddenly became too busy to write anything for himself.

There are plenty of rumours around, and the major illness one seems the most plausible. And it’s up to WO as to whether they want to keep pretending nothing much has changed. But it does seem an odd way to struggle along. There is some remaining support, but damage had already been done, Slater had pissed off another swathe of regulars before his sudden disappearance.

The site down yesterday won’t have helped confidence in an ailing whale.

    • … be great for everyone if they found that marketing meat to pensioners was a lot more profitable than maintains NZ’s now in its death throws, but previously significant political blog.

Very convenient timing to be unwell if he is.
Managed to delay giving everything he has to Blomfield.

I saw a TV news item (AlJz) MrT did not attend a WW1 memorial.. ;because it was raining’ & has been widely criticised for his ‘isolationist’ (USA ONLY) policies; led by Macron (France)

I then hear that Winston/NZF were mentioned too, with comments that NZF is taking a similar line.. BUT methinks there is a difference between NZ first & ‘NZ ONLY’ rhetoric, which I dont think fits NZF’s narrative ?

MrT really needs to ‘get his head out of his A’ & look at reality.. not just MrTs Fantasy Island

    • Personally I care more about what New Zealand’s representatives think and say than anything the media serves us up on Trump at the moment.

France and Germany piss me off. Macrons speech the other day was appalling. I regard myself as a patriot not a nationalist. As long as the values of this country remain aligned with mine I am prepared to fight for it
