This tweet has been doing the rounds today. The video is short, but it truly sums up the view of the EU.

This tweet sums up this video, the people involved, and the direction of the EU, and why the UK really must leave.

I said the other day that Macron was a nationalist, but that it was for the EU not France. All of those at the top – and with influence – in the EU are EU nationalists, and this has been pushed so much over the last 45 years plus, that there is a whole generation of young people across Europe that are also EU nationalists and put the EU above their own countries, I have seen so much of it in the UK over the last 2 years or more.

New Zealand is heading that way by dint of UN charters we sign up to. And an increasing influence of China as an economic controller within New Zealand’s economy.

Should China’s influence grow to the extent that Pacific Island states change alliance to China, we have the prospect of our own Brexit looming…the already mooted union with Australia.

As long as fast internet is accessible…the booze still flow, and the All Blacks are secure, my bet is many New Zealanders would think that’s a great idea.

To be honest Corky I don’t think NZ is heading that way. When the EU talk of nations giving up their sovereignty they mean giving up their right to make laws for their citizens, the UN isn’t able to do that.

There is nothing else in the world today comparable to the EU, but the best I can come up with to describe it is a Colonising Nation in reverse. Where most nations colonise by taking complete control and gradually ceding control back to the colony, the EU start by letting the future colony have control and slowly they take that control away until they will eventually have complete control.

            • That is an interesting comparison with colonialism, and sums up the EU rather neatly. The old colonial powers look quite gracious against it.

The EU is extremely dangerous – a slavering, empire-building wolf in a socialist sheep’s clothing. It has peddled a pack of lies to socialist fools ever since a group of Nazi industrialists set its foundations back in 1943 when they realised that military might was not going to succeed in enslaving the peoples of Europe.

Economic subjugation was, they decided, far more efficient, and also avoided destroying the infrastructure and killing off the workforce. If it was done gradually and subtlely under the guise of economic cooperation they would have the people trapped before they realised what was happening.

And so it was. The innocuous European Coal and Steel Community very gradually morphed into the Common Market, then the European Economic Community, then the European Community, then the European Union.

It now has a flag, an anthem, a mickeymouse parliament, more presidents than a Gilbert & Sullivan comic opera, embassies throughout the world, a police force, a secret police force, a border force, a Supreme Court, a Soviet-style Politburo that makes the laws controlling 500 million people and is neither elected by nor answerable to anyone, a looming Napoleonic Corpus Juris that removes the right to innocence and the right to a trial. And many, many more frightening bits of totalitarian state apparatus that I have no space to list here, including an embryo army. Do not be deceived by the drab grey suits.

Once again, it seems that Britain is in a position to rescue the peoples of Europe from a ruthless despot. We must hope that the tentacles of that despot, that have thoroughly infiltrated virtually all parts of Britain’s Administration and Media, will be cut off by the British People. And that others will follow them in telling the vile EU to take a running jump.

It will go the way of old Austro-Hungarian and Prussian Empires so long as enuf people still speak their own national languages and have a sense of national identity. That’s what usually breaks empires up in the end. And you can see it happening now.

Oh – sorry, I meant that dude flapping his hands about in the video clip. But tbh I think the same comment applies to Macron too. Aljaz tv featured him briefly in an item about the Yellow Jackets – people all over France who are organising protests against the cost of diesel going up 20% in a year. They showed some woman giving him an earful about it up close but he just ignored it – the tenor of her comments were that his policies were all benefiting just the rich people and hurting the ordinary paysans >:D

              I knew who you meant.

That is Guy Verhofstadt, he is a Member of the European Parliament and the EP representative in the Brexit negotiations.

On Macron, that is very EU. The EU benefits big business, interestingly though they have somehow hoodwinked the general population into believing otherwise. But the only big business they are against are American Companies. Says something when taken with recent comments on the EU Army. They are essentially an Anti US, Anti West organisation.

Macron’s dropping in the polls, according to Aljaztv, so the populati must be waking up. I reckon he’s a weasel, personally.

G, he has been dropping in the polls since his election!

He is a weasel, I dislike him intensely as a leader, and I think the election night showed what type of man he is. When elected President of a country what person does not fly their nation’s flag and play their national anthem? Macron did neither, he only had EU flags and he went on stage to the EU anthem. He is running the second Vichy Government.

I have my suspicions that his comments on an EU army (and the Remembrance Day comments on Nationalism) were suggested by either Germany or the EU, he doesn’t seem to do anything that they disapprove of, at the very least he had their approval. Normally this would be a conspiracy theory, but it seemed too coordinated with subsequent comments from Merkel and the EU itself.

Calling him a wanker is nice. A lot of the comments I have seen today on twitter about this video are related to comparisons with a German leader of the 30’s at Nuremberg.

I suspect that these were put on by people who don’t know the horrors of what that led to. It’s an easy, facile comparison, but I don’t think that any modern leader in the West is comparable…and ‘the whole world’s watching’.

Kitty, most are aware, they were comparing the body language and tone.

I always find it interesting when something like this comes up, in order to try and shut down the debate and critical analysis many will go straight to the holocaust thereby nullifying any comparison (whether right or wrong) of the Third Reich with anything else, including the actions of the EU.

It is a standard lefty liberal tactic, go for the worst thing and then call anyone who tries to critically argue an apologist for Hitler.

Try not to fall into that trap, watch the video and see if you are able to understand what they were comparing.

Good Morning PDT, glad to see you are a member of the EU cult. Would love to debate it with you, if you ever get the courage up please do post as to why you think Guy Verhofstadt is right to want to remove a nation’s sovereignty.

Re-reading that I realise I made a slight error, it is not a nation’s sovereignty that Guy Verhofstadt wants to remove, it is several nations’ sovereignty. My mistake.

PDT the offer is still there if you have the balls to front up, tell me why you think it is a good idea to remove the sovereignty of several nations to a supranational organisation.

This is causing much angst and discomfort among the Saudis because their latest narrative is that MBS is as pure as the driven snow and had nothing whatsoever to do with it; that this murder was “a mistake; done by people who exceeded their authority” and this smooth talking little shite who is their foreign minister has been busy telling everyone that.

That clean-shaven face isn’t fooling anybody though, according to commenters on Aljaz’s Inside Story though. Every body knows MBS HAD to order a hit job like that, nobody else would.

The Turks are determined to make King Salman sack MBS, who has been responsible for a string of arrogant and disastrous decisions that have made him enemies inside and outside Saudi, so the pressure to get rid of the blighter is building inside Saudi now, one guy reckoned.

Tonight London had it 122nd murder as a woman was stabbed. This puts this years official UK murder rate above that of 2017 (last week it was equalled).

As London’s murder rate keeps increasing, predominantly as a result of knife crime, the Mayor has a lot of words to say but has so far not seemed to put much into action. He has just over a year to sort it out before the mayoral elections.

Good luck with that, whoever tries to stop it. Anyone can buy a kitchen knife or a box cutter. I cut myself so badly with a boxcutter that I thought it would never stop bleeding (the kitchen looked like a murder site, and I don’t know how many tissues, dishcloths and large cleaning cloths I soaked) And that was one on a card from a ‘dollar shop’. It would be quite possible to kill someone with it, I am sure. I am lucky to have nothing more than a scar and months later, some pain.
