China – 2.4 billion in aid for Papua New Guinea.
New Zealand – a safe women’s market in Papua New Guinea.

Very simple maths should things come to a crunch.

Yup – but we’re helping with their electricity bills.

Apparently only 13% of them have electricity, so we’re still only serving the “wealthy” minority.

Corky has missed the fact that we are donating $15,000,000 by the sound of it.

What about men, Prime Minister? They are usually victims of Raskol gangs. I suppose that doesn’t quite have the ”feel good” vibe for the media, does it?

It’s the season for idiot tourists up here. Had one park up in the middle of the road on a blind hairpin bend the other day. God knows what was between its ears. And a campervan with 20 cars behind it never pulling over. Also the usual brake at every bend nightmares. And the women who stop in the middle of the road to chat to someone always seem to be driving an SUV.

I once saw an adult on one of those tiny motorbikes that small children have, riding in Hamilton’s central business area. He went through red lights, the little engine screaming as it was forced to keeo going at top speed (that was what drew attention to him) and couldn’t, of course, indicate. He was riding with his knees up round his ears and one can only hope that a cop caught him before he was hit because he was too low to be seen.

The idiocy of the speeding moron who used to pass on the inside in his maroon BMW must be the gold medal winner, as people automatically swerve towards that side. He did it to me and I don’t know when I have had such a fright.

    Pike River apology possible.

National will pay for not tying up loose ends..even though the government has nothing to apologise for. It’s about closure.. or in this case, lack of.

Can’t wait to see the next two games in the Basketball World Cup qualifiers –
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_FIBA_Basketball_World_Cup_qualification_(Asia)#Group_E

Given that we’re at the top of our group, we’re looking good to qualify.
Pretty good for a team that operates “on the smell of an oily rag” funding-wise!

NZ basketball’s move into the Asia zone has paid *big* dividends.
Many more games and better competition. Our 3×3 teams have done very well too out of that move.

I can’r help wondering how much education goes on at pre-schools. Or how one to four instead of one to five or one to two instead of one to three will make much difference.

What’s the bet that they will want the same pay as teachers in schools ?
