How not to conduct business. I can only imagine the brains trust that thought out this absurdity. Maybe they are trying to move upmarket and become exclusive?

That said, this business has every right to set their policies ( or they should have). If you don’t like it, move on. There are many other businesses who will take your money with a smile.

      • Mum is the fool for wanting to leave a 4 year old alone and expecting the salon to be a creche. What if she’d been delayed ? What if the child throws a wobbly because mum’s gone and left her ?

We all know what nuisances children of that age can be even if the parents are there. Nobody would expect to leave their child in a shop or restaurant alone and expect the staff to act as babysitters. The salon was quite right. Better to lose one customer than have all the others annoyed by a small, bored child running around.

The Herald must be hard up for news if it’s printing non-stories like this.

        • In fact, given that Labour passed a law that only trained childcare workers could look after children in places like gyms and shops, the salon could be in trouble if they agreed to this and anything happened.

Why doesn’t the mother buy a pair of hairdressing scissors and DIY ?

My mistake, I thought that mum had wanted to leave the child there alone.

            It’s still a non-story, though.

Wow.Oh, Wow! Hold on..it’s in Australia. No chance of common senses being debated like this in Aotearoa… especially if some posters on this blog are anything to go by.

What if they were born there? Who decides what an extremist is ? Are the people at Gloriavale extremists ?

Will he do anything about mass killers like the man in Melbourne who killed 6 with a car or the man who murdered his family ?

The Aussie PM must be serious. He was on the TV explaining this situation. Of course the usual suspects are protesting about human rights and other peripheral bs. See Kitty’s post above for that type of mentality.

However, as usual, the government can’t help being the government. They now want companies to hand over encryption keys in the name of national security. And deporting terrorist will only happen if these people have dual citizenship. So basically nothing happens except the public lose more privacy..thanks to Muslim nutters who should not be in a civilised country.

Here’s a hint, Australia. Send them to an island. You have no qualms holding non terrorists on similar islands.

President Trumpy has given the military permission to use deadly force on the Caravan Of Criminals should they have a problem with heeding what will be one of many warnings.

Someone will be in trouble at One News. They showed a god forsaken clip of an Afghan camp where children are being sold. An old chap said child brides were a common occurrence, ‘it’s just how things are here,” he said.

Yeah I watched 1ewes. I can’t see why you think anyone will be trouble over the parents forced to sell their child daughters because they’ve been driven out of their land by a terrible drought, they’re starving, and there’s no aid being delivered. More people forced from their homes by this drought than by the Taliban and by the ramped up levels of coalition bombing now happening there they said. This selling child brides to pay for food or debts in that shit-hole even predates Islam’s arrival.

What was sad was the old bugger (who might not actually be all that old, their beards are often white or grey at 35-40) who bought her for his son of about the same age bought her for $10,000, has only given the mother $70 so far, said he’s poor himself, and that he did it as an act of charity. The Western coalition has been a great boon to these folk, hasn’t it?

President Trumpy may go over. You never know what he may do. Helping them would be a great counter balance should illegals be machine gunned at the American border.

He’ll piss off back home again when he finds out they don’t have any oil and can’t afford to stay in any of his hotels. Probably stop over in Riyadh on the way back for another sword-waving party with his mate MBS and his dad – the “fine man”.
