A very good result in the U17 Women’s Football World Cup, with New Zealand beating Canada to finish 3rd. They only lost once, to Spain in the semi-final.

I only followed from a distance but anytime a NZ sports team over achieves like this is not a yawn. Grace Wisnewski scored twice, once in first minute then again in 12th in front of her parents who had flown in after they made the semis.
