    I see a bit of comment over this Spark ad. Mentioning the missus seems a bit cringeworthy…I can see a future for him featuring in upcoming Air NZ safety ads;

Don’t think I like this idea. Spark now needs to do one featuring Simon’s Mrs, and Winston’s partner, & James’s – and if David hasn’t got one after DWTS yet, one of his pets or something, for balance. This is sort of teetering on the nepotism edge.

Not sure who would want to do one for Jami-Lee.

I certainly see this as Spark getting involved in political campaigning for Jacinda and think it’s inappropriate.

I’m surprised they would choose Gayford to front it as rightly or wrongly he really splits opinion in this country. It seems using Gayford is Spark’s way of using Ardern to promote them without Ardern herself fronting the ad – sort of the next best thing.

In the ad Gayford comes across as a wannabe Jeremy Wells.

I think this may cause some backlash and complaints. The references to “kindness”? Fronting for the “First Family”? THE major communications company advertising using the First Partner referencing the First Baby – of a person with a Comms Degree, which will have covered subliminal messaging in PR. I will be interested to see what happens next.

Nothing at all will happen Gezza as Gayford is from the left. That’s how it rolls.

I’ll just bank that for now.

Hm or was it references to “niceness”. Whatever – it smacks of cunning political advertising to me.

It’s pathetic. It’s a total embarrassment. It’s him needing to be included at all costs.

It’s totally inappropriate and unprofessional and does Spark no favours at all. I didn’t watch it all, there isn’t a bucket handy.

As there doesn’t seem to be any news whatsoever around at the moment, this is probably the biggest issue facing us:

“A Satanic psychology professor has sparked anger among Christians by accusing their god of sexual assault against the Virgin Mary.

“The virgin birth story is about an all-knowing, all-powerful deity impregnating a human teen,” Minnesota State University associate professor of clinical psychology and sexuality studies Eric Sprankle wrote on Twitter last week.

“There is no definition of consent that would include that scenario. Happy Holidays.””

The Silly Season for the media starts on 1 January these days.
This must be the start of the Really Idiotic Season?

Biblical #metoo. I’m pretty sure the guy was taking the piss given he’s a Satanic psychology professor.

        I love this bit:

“Eric, the entire story involves Mary’s consent, and would not have happened without it,” said another. “The amazing part of the story is God’s request for her consent.”

LK 1 26:38 states clearly that the angel communicated God’s plan for Mary and in verse 38 she agreed. Whether you believe or disbelieve, it helps if you actually read the text.

Assoc Prof Sprankle said that was no defence.

“The biblical god regularly punished disobedience. The power difference (deity vs mortal) and the potential for violence for saying ‘no’ negates her ‘yes’,” he explained.

“To put someone in this position is an unethical abuse of power at best and grossly predatory at worst.”

Contrary to popular belief, most Satanists don’t believe in an actual devil – the Church of Satan’s actual position on deities is atheism.
